If i have the maths right, you spent 36 minutes to put just 25kW in. That is an average speed of 41kWh. However if you had had a warm battery and a lower state of charge you could have put 50kWh in in about 15 minutes. And paid half the price.
One of the big advantages of a per-minute element to the pricing is it helps new drivers learn about the charge curve of their battery, and deters them from clogging a charger up for long times. That is better for everyone.
if used appropriately the OPC prices are *not* the ripoff claimed in this thread.
yes, Ionity are deeply discounted. They are the first network of choice for most of us.on the way back I stopped at IONITY and it was a faction of the cost and more kWh.

I would beg to differ a little. I charged at Porsche Norwich as the nearby Ionity had a problem, it charged at around 120kWh rather than the claimed 350kW. I know Taycans top out at 270kW in ideal conditions but I felt a bit ripped off. yes I agree - the downside of the per-minute model is that the crappier the charger, the more it costs!What is the incentive for Porsche to fix their slow charger when it makes them more money? It's only a few £ but doesn't make you feel good.
