Hi, I just got my CT4S MY22 a couple of weeks ago as replacement for a Volvo XC90 T8 for daily all year around use. In general, I'm very happy with Taycan. Being a Porsche owner for decades currently also driving a 991 4S convertible, I can say that the Taycan is a true Porsche in build, driving experiences, etc.
As the Taycan was going to be the main car including for long trips within Scandinavia and Europe, I was particular in getting the right assistant features while configurating the car. Seriously discussed the various options with the sales representative before locking the configuration. Based on those discussions, I opted among other things for ACC and LKA, which I thought and was told included the feature of active lane keep.
As per the manual and my initial driving experiences, I had both the LKA and the ALK including the steering wheel on the display after activating the ACC. Since a few days back there is no ALK anymore, just the LKA. If it disappeared after a PCM update, I'm not sure.
After reading several threads here on the forum and checking the current configurator, it seems that you only can get the ALK together with the Inodrive PID package. A package that to me includes some annoying and disturbing features. Is it really true that you can't get get the ALK in combination with LKA? A combo that really fits well together as LKA alone doesn't assist that much.
From some threads, I understand that in the after market (POD) it is possible to aquire the ALK stand alone as long as you already have the ACC but that POD at this point is not available for MY22. An views or experiences on this?
Really keen to get a proper ALK for my long trips as true safety feature and more relaxed driving experience. Sorry for the long text....//Mats
