Aftermarket softclose doors?

I had this thpught on my Tesla Model Y once.
I was used to soft-close from the Model X and thinking of having them after-market on the Model Y.
I didn't execute because it was a pretty big job on doors and electric. Seemed to have to many sources for problems to me.

I just installed the ali express kit on both front doors. Brian's video was extremely helpful. A couple of things I found. The puddle light does not need to be removed. The speaker also doesn't need to be removed for the front door installation. I used a Dremel tool to grind off the rivet instead of the drill bit method. Another tip - the little panel removal tool in the car's kit is very useful for removing a variety of plastic covers and lifting the red tabs on the electrical conectors.

we have soft close doors on our Taycan as the previous owner chose that option. He/she wasted their money. It is really difficult to close the door to the point where the soft close takes over — 99% of the time we just shut it normally and the feature is unused.

Yes! The Chinese soft door locks are inexpensive and work very well and fit easily

Absolutely no need to look for more difficult solutions like adapting the soft close from Audi A7 or whatever other crazy things Ive seen Westerners doing just to avoid buying a Chinese product lmfao

People in the West gotta drop that stigma they have of China and prepare their wallet. Pay decent price you get decent quality. Be a miser and buy the cheapest and you'll get cheap Chinese shit.... As simple as that!

Tbf, people are gentle and I normally end up getting out and shutting them properly ?
