My dealer also confirmed that they'll replace internal sensor in my CT4. That should fix the alarm!
Finally. :like:
My Dealer ordered the Sensor part today for me but said they had to get it from Germany so at least 4-6 weeks. Yesterday, for the first time as a test, I did not double click and the Alarm went off. Otherwise I have never had an issue.

My experiences:
1. if I forgot to disable interior sensor, but locked the car with double-click, only lights starts blinking
2. If i locked only once, alarm went off.

#1 happened few times, when i was in a hurry.
#2 happened only once, on a first day, since dealer didn’t warn me about that.

I'm scheduled for Monday morning to have the replacement/fix. I'll follow up with status on success or failure thereafter. I have consistently had the alarm issue, so I should know very quick if it is fixed.

@iamfrozt : workarounds didn‘t work for you (double lock, dissabled interiror sensors?)

Double click worked, but you can't disable the interior sensor permanently, so even after double locking, the next time I start the car I needed to make sure I waited to fully power down and uncheck the box every single time because it would always turn itself back on regardless of turning it off in the PCM or double clicking. IF at any point I forgot to do one of those steps in my power down because I was in a rush or mis-clicked, the alarm would start screaming minutes after I walked away from the car. It's been my only real problem for the last 5 or 6 months since taking ownership, but it makes every trip into a store or office a worry of whether my alarm is going to go off this time or not. Luckily I've been super careful at night parking in the garage, so the overnight alarms don't happen when I double and triple check myself.

I had the same, the alarm would go very quickly if I didn’t disable interior sensor - new part immediately cured it! Hope you get the same outcome.

Hi guys, I picked up my CT back in September And had false alarms going of the first night I had it home. Annoying and a bit embarrassing. Porsche Irvine was super attentive to the issue and tried a host of things to fix it including swapping out two of the main computers (center screen was going black). Not a happy new Porsche owner back in September.
My Porsche Irvine Service advisor reached out too me a few weeks ago to bring thee car in to run a test (15 mins) to confirm my car had the alarm issue. Confirmed and then they they order the new sensors (apparently that’s the PNA process).
Had sensors replaced and the software service bulletin re-flash and it’s been two week and no issues regardless of a single tap or double tap on key fob.. Fingers crossed! The previous post noted the deletion of the alarm function on the app which would indicate as I had suspected that the PC app had something to do with triggering the alarm.
Anyway for all of you with false alarm issues the new sensors appear to solve the false alarm issue…..

Just had the sensor replaced on mine. I'll test throughout today and report back tomorrow.

There are also 3 other campaigns open, one of them that's been talked about in other threads about electronics reprogramming. I only had enough time for them to do one of the open campaigns, but it wasn't clear which they did. I'm waiting for the paperwork on which software update they paired with the sensor replacement

I had the sensor replaced 3 days ago and I'm happy to report I haven't had a false alarm yet. I am:

1. Not turning off internal monitoring when exiting the vehicle
2. Locking the car with a single click of the remote or tap on the door handle
3. Have turned ON the alarm service in the list of services in my car (something that I proposed earlier in this thread as a temporary fix)
4. Have charged with the car locked (in public) and without the car locked (in my garage) and not experienced an alarm
5. I cannot reproduce the alarm going off in my garage after 30 seconds of locking the car, something which I could do very consistently before.
6. I no longer get notifications in the app that my windows have been left open after leaving the car

Also, in reply to the recent debate on turning off internal monitoring and having the setting stay. I found that this was very UNreliable and I had to "Confirm" before opening that door that it was indeed off. My Porsche ID would often fail to login and I was required to login as guest (another issue). BUT, in the guest profile the setting is remembered, so I never had to turn off internal monitoring when leaving the car when logged in as guest. When I am logged in with my Porsche ID, about ninety percent of the time I am required to uncheck the check box (after turning the car off and before opening the door). I found that when I make a very short trip the setting is remembered but for anything longer than 10 miles the setting is forgotten and its checked when turning the car off requiring me to uncheck it.

End result of the fix. I can now turn the car off and exit right away without worrying about the alarm going off or having to confirm that I unchecked internal monitoring or double locked the car. I know its minor but this really changes my everyday experience and enjoyment with the car. Amazing, I can park, get out and lock the car without having to worry about the alarm going off !!!

I have two young kids and those of you with kids as well will agree that getting back that time exiting the car (maybe 5 seconds total) is the difference between a peaceful day out and a meltdown or injury or both. Those of you without kids can laugh but should appreciate that Porsche has fixed this issue.

So in my car, the replacement part has fixed the situation.

Now if only my Porsche ID would login consistently. My workaround for this annoyance, I put a garage door opener in my car, not using homelink, and I set all the radio stations in the guest profile to mirror those in my Porsche ID.

Thank you,

-Peter

In my car (and several others, if you read this thread) after you shut off interior monitoring, it turns itself back on the next time you start the car.
Same issue here. I disabled the Interior Monitoring feature in the menu but didn't realize the car turns it back on after a while. As my wife and I were sitting in the front porch, the car alarm goes off while it's in the garage. My wife says it's, "embarrassing." So true.
I have scheduled for it to be evaluated in 3 weeks (that's the earliest appointment they have!). Hopefully, they have the part!

As it’s a known issue, I’d recommend specifically requesting that new sensor by part number as it will likely need to be ordered in. Should save you needing to visit twice!

Based on my experience, they won't order the part until they have read the codes and confirmed that the issue is present. I had to take two trips for this fix.

Worth a try though. My dealer ordered it for me, over the phone with no pushback whatsoever. On backorder though, so we'll see how long it takes.

They didn't need to read the codes for me, but for what it's worth my SA was aware of the issue that I had been experiencing since I reached out to him panicked 60 minutes after getting home with the car with the alarm freaking out non-stop for no good reason.

I provided the part number, the issue, and they took care of it. There's an official TSB for it now, so nobody should experience push back.
