I get it. I debated not getting the wheels I wanted but I really wanted the mission E which cascades into an expensive buy. I looked at how to accomplish the same look with a 3rd party wheel option but at the end I was saving little and risking not getting the right look.
I did the same as you on innodrive.

Since our cars cost the same. We should post specs to see the difference (if you want). I will post mine.

Very similar stuff to mine. Except for the sports package. I am not sure frozen berry sports package would look good. What is in the technology package, did you get a HUD?
Yeah, the HUD, passenger display, remote park, lane change, etc.

Very cool. You get very different stuff compared to my build. The only thing on my build I wonder about is the HUD. I went back and forth and I did not get it. One day I want to drive one with it to see if I like it. I never had a HUD on my cars.

How are you liking the HUD? is the only think I may regret not getting.
I like it way better than I thought I would!! I didn't really want it, as I drove my husband's car (once) with it a few years ago and it annoyed me. I don't like driving distractions. But the Porsche's is really clear and bright and customizable and non-obtrusive. I can still take or leave it though, so I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't there. Don't worry about regrets. It's really just my compliment to Porsche for exceeding my expectations on such a small feature I didn't even need.

I've continued to read a lot of old threads, and most recently about the Tesla comparisons and software irks. I've never even rode in a Tesla let alone driven one, but just sitting in my Taycan in the garage while still learning the features and UI, I gotta say, Porsche really made an effort here to do something special. They didn't just come up with their own "OS," they strove to make a tech experience unique and novel. Even when stuff is a little annoying, I really appreciate their vision and expect it only to get better with time.

Interesting, All I have driven are Teslas in the last 7 years, Model S and a Model X. The UI is excellent. I am actually going in with an open mind for the Taycan in terms of UI only. I plan to enjoy the driving dynamics and the excellent interior which I know Tesla can't even come close to. I am glad you are enjoying the UI. I am sure over time (after I read the 700 page manual) it will become all I talk about. :)

been an exclusive tesla owner since 2016 (Model S/X & Y). Borrowed my ex-wife's taycan for a few months. The tech is certainly inferior in the Porsche, but the driving dynamics and fast charging profiles are better. Having fart sounds and being able to watch netflix and youtube is cool and all, but i'd rather have a fun car. Driving a Tesla doesn't feel fun anymore, but driving a porsche always felt fun. I can live without a massive ipad in my car as long as its fun to drive.

I’ve had a hud in my last 3 cars and it was one of my ‘must have’ options. They’re angled low enough not to be distracting but can be set up to have great info at a quick glance!

I had locked 4.95% for 72 months. Locked 3/17 expires 4/17. During those days, my SA told me that was unbeatable, and told me all his clients were getting much higher rates. To me his comment simply means his clients are richer and put less effort looking for good rates. That rate is gone in 2 days so I just locked with a different bank for 5.50% for 72 mo. I financed my model S and model X for a rate of 1.25% those days are long gone.
Hi, which banks or credit unions did you try? My car is also on the same boat and starting to look into the finances.

thanks!

In the SouthEast, FoundersFCU is offering 4.49% for a term length of 36months and 5.49% for anything over 36months. This is assuming Excellant credit of course.

The 4.95% 72 mo came from Adelfi credit union. I don't think their rates are good any more. because they quoted me 6.35% to relock. So I went with USAA and they locked me 2 days ago for 5.5% 72 mo for 45 days.

Interesting twist this morning... as I previously mentioned, I thought I was getting 5.54 through the dealer. I was scheduled to take delivery of my car today at 4 PM and the finance manager called and told me the rates went up and I was looking at 6.39 (or something like that). I started to scramble and found 5.64 at PenFed, forwarded that to the FM and he dug a little deeper and pulled 5.49 from Bank of America which is lower than they advertise. Not sure it matters but I put $40k down and ended up financing $97k.
