It looks like you need to already have matrix lights to fit any of the options, which seem to be simply blue or black tinted overlays for about £2700. I did rather assume it was the absence of the controller due to chip shortage which had them removed from the options. The wiring harness may well be different too.

Yes, one may have thought £2700 may have been enough for them to be upgraded but there is a note saying only matrix can be upgraded.

Blimey, that's really misleading. I read it a while back and thought it was for the full headlight and associated control hardware given the price!

Might be worth checking with your dealer if it is indeed simply a replacement for an existing matrix installation?

Not sure who would make this investment if they already had matrix lights as they are effectively paying for these lights multiple times if not standard on the car they have.

Yes fully agree but at the time of lockout that option was removed. Having come from cars with matrix headlights I thought would be a issue but been pleasantly surprised how good the non matrix lights are
