This subforum has been pretty quiet. I’m still enjoying wringing out the Taycan at the track once in a while and just got back from an autocross. I used to do a lot of AX in the early 2000s but I think 2011 was the last time I was dodging cones in a 2100lb Civic. Brought back some good memories.

The Taycan is not the fastest but it’s a ton of fun spinning tires, drifting and power slides in a relatively slow and safe environment. PSM completely off for hooning mode! I loved the challenge to keep the momentum pointed in the right direction but sometimes (just once) completely lost it and ended up sliding through the finish beam sideways then reversing out of the course.

Used around 2%SOC per run and left the track with 76% so consumption was not a concern like on track days.

PAX rankings are great if you’ve got a competitive itch. I’ll definitely have to do this more often.

I'll do some thread necromancer here and add to the thread.

Just took my 4CT out for its first autocross today.

It was very quick. Top time was 36.4xx, mine was 39.5xx but this is my second season. Also has the factory all seasons on the car.

I came from a 21 Mustang GT and the off the line and putting the pedal down in the straights were damn quick comparatively . No dancing around the rear stepping out like was common on the pony.

Did notice the suspension was a bit softer than I was used to, and the course had some hills so I did have to account for the car getting unsettled cresting a hill. Also the brakes didn't like just being stepped on, needed a bit more roll in, but once I got the hang of them, dropped a couple of seconds.

Porsche Taycan Autocross anyone? PXL_20250824_151350276.MP

Video looks good! I didn't make it out for this PCA event, my next one will be the 25th and 26th with Bridge City Autosports at PIR. Good way to end the season.

I'd love to go on a track and get my Taycan OVER the physical borders, just to be able to estimate the cars abilities better.
For sure going for a drift challenge one day.
Furthermore I'd die to go on a decent off-road high-speed rip... but don't want to do that to my car 😣

Just took mine to an event
Totally forgot to turn off PSM..

.
Fastest car did 70s. I did 80s with passenger.

There's no other way to adjust front camber than taking off bumper right?
Can definitely use more camber up front.

Nice!

Best way to add more camber is with lowering links. The stock camber adjustment can’t “add” negative camber, only balances left and right. Further lowering the ride height will increase the negative camber as the wheel moves through its travel.
