Yes, good shout - I've got a Vinanalytics report and it's on there :
410 KEYLESS GO CENT. LOCK. (ROW) (FOD)
Other options not included all start with W/O which I guess means without, there is no W/O in front of this option.

Can't I ask what exactly stopped working?

Note what that "keyless go" is not the same as "comfort access". I also see "FOD" (function-on-demand) in your pic which might be relevant.

How many buttons do you have inside the tailgate? - 1 (close) or 2 (close and close-n-lock)?

Hi there,

The doors used to open automatically as I approached the vehicle and I could open the frunk by gliding my palm over the front bumper. I have 1 button in the boot to close it.
Cheers

That sounds like Comfort Access to me I think.

Is that on the options report?

What your describe is Comfort Access, not Keyless Go. If you only have one button in the boot your car didn't come from the factory with Comfort Access but it might have been added FOD.

Keyless-Go means you don't have to insert the key anywhere to start the car, just have it with you. I think it must be standard in Taycans as I've never seen one with a key hole in the dash.

I'm pleased we're getting to get good discussion on this topic via a forum, however I am disappointed that Porsche dealer or Porsche AG can't give me an answer. :)

Often at Porsche, people are not too much into specifics from a Taycan.
I guess that needs like some same 60 years, a 911 is around :p

Nevertheless, I always experience maximum commitment at my Porsche centre, to solve any problem.
So you are absolutely right about wondering being sent back and forth.

However, the above statement concerning your options on the car is absolutely correct.

It probably doesn't help if you're talking to them about keyless-go because from what you've said that's not what you have problems with.

'Comfort Access' is the feature set you are referring to. This was available as a factory fit option. If you had this option, then you'd have two buttons on the boot lid as @tophamn say ('Close' plus 'Close and lock').
So that shows you don't have the factory option.
However, Comfort Access was also available as a FoD, but didnt quite give feature parity with the factory option (ie the lack of that extra physical button).
Where it gets confusing is - a lot of people appeared to get Comfort Access capability even without the purchasing the FoD. Also, some people found they could activate the trial FoD, but the features continued indefinitely.
Further - I believe you could also purchase the FoD as a one-off perpetual license (to enable the FoD permanently) or as a subscription option (although, Im not 100% on this - some FoD where only available as a one-off purchase).

So - what you need to clarify is - was the lifetime FoD ever previously purchased for your car - if so, then under warranty they should fix and reenable it. However, if the FoD was never purchased, then you may have to pay to have it enabled (as you would have just been 'lucky' that you had features that you shouldnt have had) - and in which case £300 seems reasonable, as I think the FoD lifetime purchase was significantly more than that.

Hope that helps!

Hallelujah!! That does help. I definitely had it working in early January and it stopped about the same time as I reset PCM and got my Porsche I.D. This has all been explained to both the Porsche Centre and Porsche AG. Neither party have been able to advise me on what you just explained. If it was an option that was bought with the car then I have an expectation it should be fixed for me. If Porsche explained o me that this was a trial option that was with the car for over 2 years then only just discovered it, so removed it, then it would be nice to hear that. Porsche AG have said the option was with the car and they can't explain why it's stopped working, Porsche Centre didn't think it was an option enabled any car. I just with someone at Porsche could explain, it seems odd to me that the advice is coming from a forum :)

I think you've confirmed our (collective) suspicion that the feature you now don't have was enabled through feature-on-demand by the previous owner. Where I think you've confused both your dealer and Porsche is talking about "keyless-go". Now you know it's "comfort access" you're having trouble with I think you'll get to the bottom of it quickly with the dealer.

BTW, can you find feature-on-demand in the app or portal and see what's available for your car?

Don’t know if this is still the case, but FOD used to be available via a browser only, rather than the app. If Comfort Access is available to purchase, that may be a clue that it was previously on the car post delivery.
It is £1100 via FOD. It is unclear if it stays with the car after it has been sold and linked to a different Connect ID. My understanding is that it is intended to be permanent. But Porsche systems don’t always do the expected.

My examples are shown in the pics. I added power steering plus

For an OTA update, the Comfort Access price is ridiculous. If the price for J1.1 models was reduced by 75%, they‘d surely sell at least 5 times the current FOD volume.

Thanks for the info - if I'm mistaking 'keyless-go' for 'comfort-access' does anyone know what 'keyless-go' as an FOD option actually does ? Surely it's not an FOD option that just means you don't need a key to start it, as all Taycans have that ?

Where are you seeing keyless-go as an FOD option? - can you share a screen-shot?
