Bigger brakes cannot stop you faster.

@Dee I like that channel and don’t disagree with the general sentiment of that video. But I didn’t catch how many consecutive stop they made (just referred to “first stop” and “last stop”?) so it’s hard to speak to how that may relate to street driving where the duty cycle is possibly lower than their tests.
Well, I thought it was interesting enough to add to the discussion.
There aren't many side by side tests and this one is pretty straight forward.

That said, in real life our Taycan is a heavy weight.
That means it caries a lot of kinetic energy when doing 250 km/h.
I don't know about others but slowing down on the Autobahn in Germany from 250-ish to overtaking-lorry-speed is an occasion you defenately don't want you have brake fading...that happened twice, no drama, my PCCB's were absolutely great. ?
Still, I don't know what would have been if it were steel brakes...

On a circuit you don't often reach topspeed so this test is not absolute either, besides, a Cayman is a featherweight in relation to a Taycan...
Still, I think PCCB's are cool just because of the exotic nature and exclusivity rather than a performance advantage although they are HUGE...
If it is, great, but irl you really don't need it.
It does help in comfort due to it's unsprung weight though.

If anyone thinks all there is to braking is one time total stopping distance, search YouTube for the multiple videos of guys cooking the brakes on their Tesla Plaids, including at least one that resulted in totaling the car.
