I'm wondering if any of you have experienced this. I have a 2020 Taycan 4S with 16,000 miles with all updates. Just before I took it in for the big software update last year my brake pedal began creaking. That went away when I got the update, but now it's back with a vengeance. It happens the worst when I do not have the recuperation button pushed, just after regeneration stops at about 10 MPH. Then the pedal gets soft and goes about 2" farther to the floor while creaking. If I turn the recuperation button on, it happens less and if I lift my foot off the brake just as the recuperation stops, and then put my foot on the brake it still goes down 2", but with little to no creaking in the pedal. I have an appointment coming up with Tulsa Porsche but has anyone experienced this?

Yes, I have this issue too, though it hasn't bothered me quite enough to take it in yet. iirc its reproducible if you have the HOLD function on while stopped by pressing the brake pedal in even farther. Does it happen for you in that case as well?

The hold function works fine.

yeah I have occasional noise from break pedal but only few odd occasions a week. I am coming to terms that this car is noisy with all the computerised system. But good news, I am going to Porsche technician tomorrow to give them a ride for reassurance all is good.

Wonderful, please let us know what they say. Note that with mine, there is less creaking if you have regen on.

I had a similar issue, that took several visits to fix. My pedal would make the groaning sound described in the TSB, but then drop a bit as the car transitions from regen to friction brakes and then grab violenty. The first tried to bleed the brakes, then replaced the booster, then the master cylinder and eventually the whole ABS hydraulic unit. I think the issue was two fold, the dealer couldn't get the brakes properly bled and there had to be some tiny, indectible leak somehere since everytime, they "fixed" it, it would be OK for a day or two and then progressively get worse.

It's mostly fixed now, but I'm still not totally happy with it. The pedal still feels wierd intermittently and grabs at low speed when switching from regen to friction brakes, but not bad enough to justify bringing it back to them yet.

Thank you for your response. I talked to a tech and became convinced that it wasn't dangerous and until they really figure this out, I'm just going to use the regen button which makes it a lot less noisy and I don't want to have it sit at the dealer for a long time.

My issue with the brake turned out to be the brake servo 9J1614105H. It was repaired yesterday by Porsche Springfield. Actually, the car brakes better than new now so it might have been partially defective from the start.
