I don't have a better way to describe it other than a transition sound. Maybe sounds like a weak blow off valve. Happens when accelerating past 25mph and then slowing down below 13mph. I consistently get this sound at 13mph and I'm really intrigued by what's making this sound. It's not at all subtle. Anybody else experiencing this?

This is funny, one of my coworkers started noticing this the other day and I had never noticed it ever. Even described it exactly as you said, a weak blow off valve.

we suspected it was the air suspension but sure enough, only happens when transitioning off regen. My theory is it is the power brakes engaging to do the seamless blend from regen to actual brakes to hold the car at a light.

Does it happen at the same point every time? I.e. 13mph? I also suspect something with the air suspension as I only hear it from the rear.

I had this briefly yesterday. I washed the car on Sunday and hadn’t driven it afterwards. There was a layer of surface rust on the rotors that needed to be cleaned off. It went away after a couple of firm stops.

Took a video (you hear it at 14mph) of it so that the tech could reproduce it. I got a note back after 4 weeks that the tech couldn't reproduce the sound. ?

Checking if anybody experiences this sound. I don't have it on the loaner taycan I have.

I hear a transitional / chunking sound when slowing down to about that speed but attributed it to the Taycan shifting into its low gear. There's no dashboard feedback on this transition, unfortunately, assuming that's what this sound is.

I thought the same thing but after two loaners, I realized that they don't exhibit the same sound. Maybe it's still within the realm of normal.
