Initially carplay stopped working, I figured a reset would fix it but it didn't. Doesn't work via USB cable or wireless. It shows bluetooth and WiFi are not on and are greyed out so cannot be selected. Then I noticed that the porsche connect app was stuck on info from a couple of days ago - location, state of charge, inability to send timers to the car. Since carplay wasn't working, I tried navigation and the location was quite a few yards off so the mapping wasn't working. Then smartlift and homelink would not pop up when I got home, so there was an issue with geolocation.

I looked at the settings and it looked like an issue with the embedded SIM. It is booked into the dealer for next week but just curious if anyone else has come across anything like this and is there something I can try other than a reset?

One point of note, I got a hardwire dashcam installed but that was maybe 3 weeks ago and these issues only started middle of this week.

The 2025s have a similar problem to what you’re describing. Only solution is for the dealer to perform a workshop update on several software modules. No amount of troubleshooting or resetting will work.
Several other threads have been posted.

TBH I wasn’t sure how to describe the problem in a search. Do you have a link to any of the threads which discuss the issue? Thank you.

Edit- found this one and I do have the same symbols on the right side of my PCM

Car is at the dealer. They hoped that a reset taking about 6 hours would fix the issue. Dropped the car off early and got a message early afternoon

“My technician working with the vehicle attempted the programming and it failed midway through. Porsche has a technical bulletin that states if it fails that the remedy is to replace the connect control unit and that should take care of all the issues for us. I ordered a new control unit and it is expected here tomorrow!“

Most unreliable car I’ve owned in many years but also my favourite car ever.

To fix this problem, they had to replace the connect control unit. After that was completed, another fault presented with the external communication speaker (presumably this is for electric sports sound?). They had to remove the dash twice to replace each component plus order each part overnight. All in all they had the car for a week. They performed the recall related to communications which is supposed to improve OTA updates.

Car was in for a frustrating amount of time but dealer communicated well and took care of everything. I was able to get an appointment within a few days (without loaner) but after they had the car over the weekend, they delivered a loaner to my door on Monday morning.
