Don't bother with the dealer. What helps is contactic porsche mobility, and they can reach out to the engineering team remotely, and they can diagnose the car connection from their side. It's much more time efficent.

That's a really helpful suggestion, thank you. They didn't disclose this option on my first call. Now it's been in and out of the OPC without a fix, I called Porsche Mobility and they have taken it on as a case and it will get referred to Germany. Fingers crossed that it's something that can be resolved remotely...

What is Porsche Mobility? Different than Porsche Customer Service?
In US we have one phone number for Porsche Customer Service - years ago they did not seem very helpful or knowledgeable about problems with app not connecting to Taycan such as their useless advice to restore PCM to factory settings.

In the UK they call themselves different things in different places, but their email is signed "Porsche Customer Relations Hub". When you call the number there's a range of options including Porsche Assist (for breakdowns) etc, including one for connectivity issues.

Thank you. In US calling 1-800-PORSCHE did not give separate option for connectivity problems, at least several years ago.

Perhaps they correctly predicted just how busy a "my Porsche has stopped talking to the network" helpdesk would be :)

Just do not follow their advice to reset PCM to factory settings (locking yourself out of PCM when there is no data connection.)

Yep, I already fell for that one, stupidly, and am locked out of PCM :)

I have been having this same issue in my MY25, for about 3 weeks. Kept waiting for it to spontaneously start working again, but no luck.

I called Porsche support, they escalated to Germany and asked that I email some photos of my PCM screen. A few days later I got a reply from a “Connect and Charging Expert” who said I needed to take it to dealership and they would send instructions to the service advisor. He warned me that it won’t be a quick fix and I should wait for a rental to be available. My appointment is next week, we’ll see.

In US, calling Porsche Customer Support at 1-800-PORSCHE eventually results in an option for "Porsche Connect, Charging, and related apps".

Just to save others going down this route, the UK team refused point blank to do this (and wasted three days in doing so). They tell me they are only able to give advice (like the faulty advice to log out) and have no channel to escalate technically. They sent me back to the dealer. No amount of pushing or cajoling would produce the result you were able to get in Switzerland sadly.

Software expertise seems to be very tightly held and quite inaccessible. It's like talking to a first-level telco helpdesk who refuse to escalate anything.

they would send instructions to the service advisor
Nick, if I could ask a favour, would it be possible for you to make a quick call/email and extract from the service advisor the instructions they received - or let me know which OPC and I will have my service advisor call yours? That would be hugely helpful.

I am currently in deadlock with my [normally excellent] OPC who insist that they can't escalate the problem to Porsche GB without physically having the car (even though they had it last week), so it would be off-road with no loaner for a week or more while they wait for a reply, wait for service time, action it, etc .... All I want is someone in Porsche who has actually solved this problem in a J1.2 Taycan to be asked what the answer is - surely that can't be so hard. No wonder the dealers have large yards full of asleep Taycans.

Please post here if you can find out what the proposed fix is….

The instructions read “try to sell customer on a 2026 Taycan.”
Kidding. I emailed them Sunday, will let you know when I hear a response

Here is what they sent to my service advisor. I hope this works, would rather not have my Taycan stuck in the shop for ages.
