Ceramic coating in the UK (London) - recommendations?

I went and looked around NVN and Topaz - Both in Park Royal. Both looked very professional/impressive. I didn't get it in the end as dealer put swissvax on by mistake, so i thought i'd let that do its trick for a while. That and i didn't want to lose the car of about 1 week! As aside, I didn't get the impression PRG did the ceramic / sent it off for you to have it done.

As for detailing on site - no chance. Go have a look at the 2 above and you'll see its very specialised. I knew nothing about it before coming on here!

It’s hit and miss i think - i had a callback and no one called me from WL until i persisted and spoke to one guy and then went in. Now just do it all by email.

This was during lockdown when you needed an appointment. Annoying as just around the corner from me. I really wanted to go outside of PRG on principal due to my experience, but friend recommended a salesperson in Mayfair, so spoke to him and he was very good.
Mayfair only do sales, servicing is Chiswick or Reading though. I've been trying to get factory fitted PPF corrected and they didn't seem to know much about it, so I'd certainly go external if you're getting detailing done.

Take it in after a few weeks once you're 'bored' of it and save the truck fee. But it is expensive and i've no idea if it's actually worth it. Still on the fence myself. Still go and have a look at NVM/Topaz, if for no other reason than for a good dose of car envy!

Have you got a date for collection yet? My office is a 100m or so from the Mayfair showroom. I live midway between W. London and Reading so decided to test drive from Reading and then placed order with them a few weeks ago and delighted to have got a build allocation for 1st November ?

I called GVE who will do for £895+vat so it’s a little better but the guy on the phone seemed a lot more helpful.

EDIT : Called a company called TIKI details - slightly better location for me in twickenham and they quoted me :

£399 for wheels, glass and exterior with 3 year warranty. He said that Gtechniq is quite old now and there are better products out there. I’m booked in for 26th July (earliest date - next one is in August).

He wants overnight in his unit but provides a courtesy car Included in that!

So I’ve gone for this option. I will share photos after but he knew his stuff said i was welcome to watch him work if i wanted. 2 hours for the clean, 3 hours for light machine polish and hour for the ceramics.

13th July is my collection date. Dealer is off today but calling tomorrow to go through the finals. I’ll nip in on Friday to sign finance papers and view the car and also to test drive a couple of others they have.

Still blown away you got that quick an allocation. Debating if i switch from GTS to another 4S (with preferred options) if I’ll be any quicker. Dealer said Turbo and Turbo S would be marginally quicker as a smaller list but don’t think can go that high.

Is Mayfair Porsche in Green Park ? My old offices were on Bruton Street…

Yep it is just west of Green Park tube on Piccaddilly . My office is in Albemarle St.
