It's a fad color that will pass.
Makes the Taycan look cheap and a style moment.
Nothing that will last long. A styling game.
If you want to get into a slightly off-white game - pick ice grey.

I had an earlier post with a reference to a nice piece from LA Times about Chalk trend, featuring Chalk GTS, which is expected to be a short-lived trend, but what is short lived if it started in 2013, and now morphing into colored chalk hues. I got my Chalk Cayenne 3 years ago when it was pretty unique and confusing color choice, but now, it is everywhere, so I feel like I am in the sea of other SUVs every day with different chalk like hues and frequently see a Macan or a Cayenne Coupe in, but I have not seen another Chalk Turbo like mine anywhere I have been over 3 years, which is many states over in each direction. Now I am betting on Ice Grey, which is the most popular color at my dealership by a long shot, but that is my favorite color on the Taycan, even though I have never owned a silver car before.

Well mine is finally Here. Video before and after PPF, Tint, Clear markers and Coating. Took Delivery 5/10, picked up at the shop 5/18.
Tinted windows makes a big difference!! .

Boy this car gets attention.

I was actually disappointed when I saw ice grey up close. It's almost too close to carrara white to be distinguished from it. Still waiting for Porsche to give us arctic grey on the Taycan. That would be nice.

Here is my 2-month old CT 4S. I changed to Crayon at the very last minute and I’m glad I did. What a gorgeous colour, it looks good in all weather conditions and hides dirt really well. It’s one of those colours that looks mundane in photos but stunning in person.

Hello everyone! I have placed an order for my Taycan . I am seeing all these beautiful chalk Taycans with Mission E wheels but I have a question related to it. Are you guys ordering the wheels in exterior color (chalk) or are you guys keeping it white. Does anyone have a chalk taycan with mission e wheels in chalk too? I have ordered the mission e wheels in chalk.

These are aftermarket 19” in chalk. But definitely stick with them in chalk, they don’t look as good if they’re the normal color. There’s a thread about it somewhere where I posted comparison photos a while back.

Happy to say I've officially joined the Taycan club, and specifically the Chalk club. I built a '23 GTS model but it continues to sit at the Jacksonville port with no movement or updates. Stumbled across a gently used '22 Turbo S model that was very similar to my build (but obviously much faster and with other added options) and the deal was too good to pass up. Added front PPF, tint (35% front, 20% back and 75% clear ceramic on windshield), and clear side markers. Have had the car for 3 weeks now and is an absolute blast to drive!
