My Taycan is exhibiting odd charging behavior. It was in for service and when they plugged it into the charger it wouldn’t charge. They said it was a calibration issue and fixed it. I brought it home and when I plug in it throws an error but when I plug in a second time, it works. This goes for both sides. Any ideas what the issue could be?

Thanks

I think the first plug-in triggers a failed handshake due to a minor signal or grounding problem, which then resets on reattempt. This could be caused by dirty or slightly misaligned pins in the charging port or plug. It might also be an issue with resistance tolerances in the proximity or control pilot lines—something that shows up intermittently.

I figured it out. I had a timer set in the Porsche PCM and my ChargePoint charger so lines got crossed. I’m just using the PCM now and it works fine.
