What is the physical location / address of the EVSE as I can look it up remotely?

Was it tethered (fixed cable) or did you use your own?
i used my own cable as one wasn’t attached. The location is the gym group, 1 Holmes way, Westwood cross, Ramsgate, cT12 5fx

Thx

Nothing is listed at that location and so I have to assume it's private.

Who is the operator?

The fact that it is untethered suggests it is low power - 11kW at most and more likely much less 7.4 / 3.6. My guess is the latter.

Another query - sorry new to this… I plugged in today on the InstaVolt supercharger 50kw. Put the plug into the side of the taycan, did the contactless payment on the machine and nothing happened. The light just went red on the charger and it didn’t start to charge. The machine took £15 from me and nothing happened lol. Any ideas or do I have to activate anything first….

I don't think you did anything wrong but looks like the EVSE was faulty. You could have cancelled the session and restarted it and / or called InstaVolt to reset the EVSE.

Re your original mystery - what's the latest?

EVSE is not the 'charger' and the actual charger is in the car. Taking this into account do you mean the EVSE LED went red or the LED on your charge port on the car went red?

Ok so that's different.

This basically means there was a communication error with the EVSE. Removing the EVSE cable and reconnecting probably would have cleared the error.

Sometimes you need to connect the EVSE to the car first before initiating the charge and others not.

I think you were just unlucky.
