As long as I can remember I've never been able to obtain the 270kwh charge speed. Looking for insight of what may be wrong or what to expect from porsche (have an appt for early December)
Had my 2022 Gts since March 2022. And nearly exclusivly charge at EA stations.
Many times my SOC is not low enough or battery not warm enough to get the 270kwh speed, however yesterday and today the car had ideal conditions, and max I was able to get was 152kw, then significantly slowing when i reach 50% charge.
This had me thinking that maybe 1 or 2 times I have ever gotten charge speeds over 150kw.
Yesterday, battery temp was 98 degrees and SOC was 15%. Plugged into a 350kw charger and it peaked at 147kw. Relativly maintained that charge speed until I hit about 50%, then it dropped to 100kw+/-. It remained at 100kw for the rest of the session (until 70%). During this time, I called EA and was told the charger was fully functional. I expected to get 270kw dropping to q50kw for this session.
Today, battery was 75 degrees, and SOC was 27%. At a different 350kw charger, I initially received 80kw, ramped up to 152kw (as battery warmed) and once I hit 50%, it dropped to 100kw+/-. Remained at that speed until I left, at 60% charge. Called EA after I left and they confirmed the charger I was at was fully functional.
There are alot of variables here and unsure what to expect from porsche when I bring It in for this complaint.
How would they test this? There is (1) 350kw charger within 40 miles of the dealer. And testing would require depelting the battery, hoping the charger is not out of service, and not in use.
Unless there is another way to test?
Any feedback of this concern would be great. Or any data I can provide to porsche when I bring the car in (in order to not waste my or their time) would also be helpful.
