So, my car is now 5 years old and the edges of the rear arch protection are looking a bit grubby.

What’s the best way of getting the edges clean without compromising the film?

My car is white also and dust and dirt is just more visible. Usually just a rag with all purpose cleaner gets it off but I periodically wipe the edges with Goof-off or Goo gone if some of the adhesive leeches out. With white cars the eventual yellowing will be more noticeable. I ordered a new set from Suncoast and changed them out myself last year. Really easy.

Try rubbing alcohol, especially on the edges.

Because it's yellow, it's bast to replace it with a 10mm. It's more durable.
Also get the PPF piece to the edge as you can get rock chips in that tiny exposed area. This is from experience.

PPF is relatively soft. Perform a wash and full decontamination of the entire car...including these areas. If the appearance is unsatisfactory, perform a light polish. Finish with ceramic protection.

Technically my car is crayon grey ( chalk in the US) 😁. It’s the edges that I really need to sort. Not sure I need a new set yet or fancy changing them either…
