Yep, on the same page but it would be interesting to know if these ever more sophisticated LED lamp systems might be effected by variable quality PPF.
In case you had not considered it I would suggest STEK or other manufacturer equivalent fully transparaent window screen protection - couple of recent trips have def saved my glass from hits that I am near certain would have cracked something - impressive stuff and rel cheap insurance (in both cost but also hassle/time) given the amount debris on our highways are these days (well here it TX for sure!).
I will look into it, appreciate the feedback!

I've had PPF on prior BMW M car light covers but there was very specific 'advice' to not apply it to the Porsche headlights (which I'll admit seems like overly cautious Porsche input!) - supposedly a potential warranty issue (although again I could see getting round that pretty quick by removing as nec!). Are you guys aware of why Porsche requests this - any concerns re overheating (unlikely) or perhaps something to do with impacting effectiveness of LED right beams?
The service advisors give this kind of advice all the time...right down to anything that isn't OEM. You will note that it's never in writing because its complete fabrication. So, effectively, the guy that works for Porsche is saying this, but Porsche didn't.

They don't tend to put anything like this in writing unless they can prove it. In fact, in the US, it flirts with breaking the rules within the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act.

Somebody posted the part of the manual that says don’t put film on the headlights so that one is in writing at least. I’ll see if I can find it

Here’s the link to the manual, it’s on p153:

“The headlights can be damaged as a result of abrasion and excessive temperatures.
Do not install any coverings (e. g. stone guards or
films) in the headlight area.”

For full disclosure, I’ve got front end PPF and had the headlights covered so was surprised to find this out as well

Left side getting it done.
The steamer being applied on the PPF is a satisfying to see.

It does look better imo too :) - I replaced the side rear reds also but some do like them!

Just checked, we do not have material. Any idea or where I can buy some pre-cut film?

Having been rear-ended once by an inattentive idiot, I want as many flashy/shiny things back there as possible. :)
I'm going to bet those red reflectors would unfortunately not have stopped that happening :)!

Had mine (STEK) done at Extreme Offroad and Performance here in Houston (excellent high end custom shop) and they hand cut the film (actually have it recorded on my dashcam :)) to perfection - really nailed the set back edge! Not sure if a Taycan precut template available as yet to purchase but as for ordering, I'd assume you guys can do a business order locally from STEK, XPEL or similar no? But that of course might mean buying in bulk - defer to your expertise here, but can also see you selling this option to your customers in the shop?

The film comes in bulk, it's just a template cut with software that makes it easier to install.
Bulk is just taking the roll on a panel, scoring it by hand.
More man hours = more cost, so template is just easier, less man hours, less cost.

I'm also a big fan of Stek. My shop does all the 7 figure exotics with it.
I'm also a huge proponent of Dynoflex for the windshield which is underestimated. Pits in the windshield from small pebbles always happen.

Well in following along here :), I've finally landed on my final sequence of mods - I'm actually going to paint & clear coat all remaining black plastic a dark grey to mimic the current color - this to me keeps the design ethic of the car and avoids a "wall of grey" that would be quite evident on the CT (not really an issue with the sedan - looks spot on on yours). I have not 100% ruled out the selective area CF wrap for later but will see how the paint looks first.

That and I will be doing body work (filler etc) to 'delete' the red side markers that I have currently replaced with body color grey ones - I just want them gone completely and lastly more filler/plastic work/infill on the bumper cut outs where I have my current 'monkey butt' plate holder plug fix to have the area essentially perfectly smooth, mimicing the Euro design but at a fraction of the cost of purchasing an entire new Euro style bumper!

All of that and I'll get them to install the CETE system and that will be that :)
Really appreciate your shares here as helped me formulate the plan :)

It's not odd, German manufacturers love one time use parts, that's how they make money. Due to adhesives and rivets. Yes, I replaced emblem. However you can totally reuse the old one, it does not have adhesive, it has nuts, the nuts need replacement but not the actual emblem.
My charging ports were removed to be covered in PPF, and then reinstalled without replacing any parts. What part is one time use?

Great to follow along on your journey!
