Connect - Secondary to Main User Snafu

I bought MY2021 4S yesterday, trading in a 2018 Cayman. I had a Porsche Connect account with the Cayman, so the 4S was added. However, I am listed as a Secondary User, and have unsuccessfully researched if and how I could become the Main User. I have an email into customer support but was wondering anyone has seen this issue before and resolved it - thanks.

Main user has to be added by Porsche I believe.

Check your profiles on My Porsche portal and see if you can amend. If not then either the dealer or the Porsche Connect service team.

I also think legacy Porsche Car Connect App accounts aren't compatible. Remove the Cayman if you no longer have it. Make sure you are only using Porsche Connect App.

i bought a 4s yesterday as well and I am having the same exact issue! I called them last night and they told me to soft reset the car but I figured to give it one day and try once more today before resetting.

The ironical thing is online I am the main user but in the car I am the secondary user.

Yeah, its nuts! Good old admin glitch I'd say by the dealer. Should be simple to undo.

I just reset the car and same issue, it’s still showing me as secondary user. I called them back and they said they need to research...

Amazingly, I fixed mine and am now the main user whereas I was the secondary user.

Here is what I did - I deleted my account on my 4S. I logout of Connect on my phone. I then added my account to the 4S using same login and password - voila, I was then identified as the main user. I logged back into Connect on my iPhone and the remote access was activated. I went then online and, while always identified as a main user I was inactive - I was now active. Everything is now working like a charm. . . .
