Ok, definitely dropping Innodrive for now (only interested in the ALK anyway), contemplating spending some more money on the interior, either black leather or perhaps even the chalk.

I would option in Rear Axle Steering. The Taycan isn't a small car and it helps out a lot during parking.

its your car, but personally I LOVE my innodrive! makes traffic a breeze and kept me from going insane going through CT on a Friday afternoon that was bumper to bumper for 2-hours....you know the traffic that slinky's and people go from stopped to 80mph, to slamming on the brakes.....repeat for 2-hours!
I put it in Innodrive with a max of 85mph and I literally leaned back and it did everything for the next two hours with hands barley touching the wheel while resting on my leg. stopped, stopped-quickly when a jerk swerved over into my lane to go after, only to have his previous lane pass him, hahaha!
I would take that and the standard 'non-leather' any day over relatively the same interior and have to press gas/brake over and over.....
I don't have rear-steer and I know people rave over it, but I have never had to do a double-reverse to get out of any spot/corner.

But what you're describing is ACC + ALK right? What Innodrive seems to add is navigation aware driving, so it would slow for corners and stuff.

I have innodrive turned on and set my destination to home and did all I described. Not sure what part of it is doing what, all I know is I have Innodrive. :)
Haha, fair. Just trying to make sense out of all these pricey options. Sometimes it sucks being a Dutchy, for the $ equivalent of RWD build I can spec out a 4S with the premium, performance and technology pack in the US.:(

ALK+ACC does the bumper-to-bumper thing for me. The one exception is sometimes if we are stopped too long, I have to tap the gas to get it moving again.

Nah, USA states also have sales tax, but not included in the price you see on the US configurator. We Dutchies are used to prices including VAT. Sales tax in the states varies, some have 0%, I don't think there is one higher than our 21% VAT :-( And we're lucky that EV's don't have BPM(another tax to keep it simple) (yet?).

Skip the extended leather if you are coming from a Model 3, the standard interior is much better than what you are used too.
F that - upgrade time! :) I'm sure your Urus doesn't have "grainy" leather.

It doesn’t, but neither is it a Tesla. Just trying to save him some cash as anything after a Model3 will feel high quality, even a French car feels better made……

I would probably just need to look at and feel the difference. I hope the dealer has some budget Taycans haha.

Sat in a Taycan, in a Mercedes GLE AMG and a few days ago in a 911 with partial leather. To me personally it is one of the worst choices to make. These days Peugeot have full leather and the plastic is right in your view all the time. The whole door panel is plastic. To me pure horror. Again, to me. To each his own.

I’m happy that you’re getting one and hopefully driving it. Many do not even see the interior these days since it’s „too dangerous to drive“. ?

Another strange design decision that doesn't appear to be configurable. This one caught me already too, where I was in a traffic jam with ACC on and wondered why the car wasn't moving once traffic picked up again.

It's documented in GTK app that if stopped for more than 15 seconds, it will change to a brake hold. No idea why.
