The new Michelin Cross Climate 3 Sport variant is looking to (slightly) upset this balance.

On a track and at the edge of performance driving - I fully agree that a summer will always be the best - but for normal (spirited) road driving, this new Michelin is proving to be quite a good tyre in the summer.

I have put these new Michelins on my F82 M4 - and they are as good as the previous Pilot Sport 5S summer tyre - for spirited road driving (or as much my skill allows).

I got a bit tired of swapping the M4 to winters (Michelin Alpine 5) each autumn and then back to summers - and these new tyres (at least in this UK summer) have been brilliant.
Thanks for the comment. I live in south Florida so winters are non-existent. Car came with the all seasons this time.

Regards

I am a complete noob when it comes to tires. I just placed an order for 4 new tires after my P Zeros are basically bald after only 10k miles (is that normal?). I drive very reasonably, never really put pressure on the tires.

I ended up buying LAUFENN S FIT AS XL, probably should have checked this forum before placing the purchase. Did not find any feedback on them other than they are pretty good tires generally.

They also were only about $230 a piece, which is very cheap compared to any other option at $500 a piece. Please don't tell me I have made a huge mistake or anything haha.

I was just looking at these and came to search the forum. I'm curious about this as well, because I'm on to buying 2nd pair in 3 years and looking for other options. I'm curious because I had a Panamera before and started putting cheaper tires on and did'nt have any issues. So curious about this as far as EV tires as well.
I do know the N rating means it was testes by Porsche specifically for the Taycan for "optimum" performance.

Actually, it's not just testing - OEM tyres may have different structures than non-OEM. There's a video on this forum somewhere to explain the differences...
