Hello Everyone,

I am about to sign papers for a CPO 2021 Taycan Turbo S with ~12k miles. Can I get some suggestions for a checklist of what to look for before I finalize the purchase?
  • I asked for the high voltage battery's state of health but service couldn't get that for me ("no way of finding out the readout") so I'll have to figure that out on my own later.
  • I will check the panels with a paint depth meter.
  • I will look for exterior and interior blemishes and ask them to make reasonable fixes.
The vehicle is still in the CPO process so the dealer is willing to address any issues I find.

Thanks in advance.

What to check is no different than any other car except for the battery. They can absolutely determine the state of health of the battery. They would have to in order to address a warranty issue. There are any number of 3rd party apps that can provide that information with a bluetooth dongle in the OBD port. The Car Scanner app will even tell you how many times the car was launched. The fact that they won't tell you is raising red flags in my mind.

With a CPO Taycan (or even a non-CPO "used" Taycan that is still under factory warranty) the battery is covered for 100,000 miles or 8 years from the in service date.

So realistically even if they gave you the read out on the battery condition what does it matter?

Unlikely they will knock more money off, they will just tell you if/when there is a problem bring it in and they will replace it if it meets Porsche's diagnostic conditions for warranty replacement.

What I am trying to say is don't stress about it and enjoy it with peace of mind that it has warranty coverage for the duration of your ownership. (and possibly beyond!)

For some reason the battery warranty is not the same for model years 21 & 22, only 8/80k not 8/100k like the 20 & 23s. This was also noted in a previous thread.
