I've had a racing license for about 20 years, I own a fleet of cars, most of them sports cars, have a company in the car biz since 2003, which is most of my kids' lives... Neither is even the least bit interested in learning to drive... I've even offered to buy them their own cars!
Where did I go wrong?

I also just did my cupholders, I used Silicone spray instead, hoping clear and less smelly would do it... I'll report in next week when I take the long drive with the steel cups.

Report! Sound has reduced to just a little bit of noise. Great outcome!

Now to deal with the back hatch…

My boys neither.

One had a driving lesson at 10yrs old. Seemed to enjoy it, seemed pretty natural (manual gearbox, no stalling). Little to no interest beyond that.

Went karting at 11. Again, seemed to get it.

Took him karting a few weeks ago (now 14yrs old) and was painful to watch - Driving Miss Daisy had nothing on him!

They like going quickly with me driving ("mum drives too slow"). Like my cars (though it's a passing like...maybe taking them for granted). But little raw interest as I had from a very early age.

Hey ho. They'll have to become surgeons or lawyers to keep me in the manner I expect when they're older :D

My son is 20 and drives a manual M2! No, I've not let him drive my Taycan 🤔 🤣.

[how did we got onto this from squeaky cup holders?...]
