Cruise control issues, anyone??

Taycan 2025, so still learning about it
The Cruise control when set follows speed and keeps distance from car in front, however coming upto a T junction ,or traffic island, red light etc if the car in front moves away the cruise control accelerates the car ,and requires sharp braking, any suggestions why this is doing this

Do you have the Innodrive option?
That foresees many road conditions and adjusts speed to it.
Just adaptive CC will adjust to the car in front of you and nothing more.

I have a 2025 Taycan that developed problems with ACC and Lane Keep going offline intermittently. Been at the dealer 11 days. They just received a new control unit. Not sure if this is related. I have Innodrive.

The behaviour you describe is normal (and happens in other makes too). It sees there is no car in front so resumes driving at the speed you had requested. Innodrive is smarter if you have that option.

Just touch the brake to take back control as you arrive at a junction, roundabout etc.

thankyou, I do this as well and of course that works well, I just wondered if the system was smart enough to do this action to slow down at islands, junctions without recourse to the driver having to take these safety steps

No. ALK does not have those smarts. PID is supposed to improve on that but reading here, feedback is very mixed. So, I did not bother to install it.

Please share your window sticker, should be available in the App. InnoDrive is an option as shown below and the only way to have ALK. I have it but have not tried it in your situation. My understanding is that it handles round abouts automatically by slowing down and then steering around under active navigation guidance. However, if you do not have it and it is not enabled in the Assistance Systems menu, then what you are experiencing is normal ACC operation.

It's still Innodrive in UK.

I'm really not sure what your expect it to do. Adaptive cruise keeps a constant speed then slows if the vehicle ahead slows. Innodrive adds the function to slow down for junctions, roundabouts, tight bends, etc. What Innodrive will not do is slow or stop for red lights, give-ways, crossing traffic, ...

What do you expect you're not getting?
