I'm interested in a CT or ST for dual work purposes - haul 30+ cases of wine from the winery and entertain high end guests from Asia.
Initially I thought the CT due to the increased headroom on the rear seats. Valid concern?
I also thought it would be better for hauling wine but now it seems that I will have to put cases on their side so the interior height is not such a big issue.
Guests are used to S class Benzes, typically black, sometimes dark silver.
Should i stick to those colors with the CT/ST?
I looked at an IGM and it didn't give that super luxe image. Black on the other hand definitely did. Definitely none of the more Avant colors.
Thoughts?
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses.

get the glass roof for more headroom and looks great when sat in the back.

I'd go for a bright colour so they remember that great car in the interesting colour, take photos of it etc. Nothing too bonkers light bright pink. The purple sky metallic for example.

Consider active ride if they are used to s-class, will blow them away how refined it is. The 'jumping up' when the door opens is a nice party trick they'll also remember.

Thank you. I'll have to ponder the bright color idea. Not my personal style but who knows? Old dog new tricks.

Not sure who your clientele is but i'd say Neptune blue or Chalk would be my top two. It's sporty, classy and memorable yet not too flashy. Followed by ice grey, coffee beige, ice blue and maybe frozen berry if you're willing to take more risk otherwise stick with silver or black to play it safe. The car looks great in almost any color.

Get the glass roof as some one said, the front passenger screen and the advanced 4 zone climate control if your priority is the passengers.

What percentage of your time is taking high end clients around? No offense, but if that is the primary job I'm not sure the Taycan is the right solution. The back seat experience gulf between a Taycan and an S-Class is quite large.

That is my concern. Extended Panamera would be great but won't work hauling the cases of wine.

Do you have a CT or ST? Your profile shows a sedan

I have a sedan. Issue is with leg space more than head space

I've got an ST, carmine red. It gets a lot of positive comments. It stands out ... a lot. It isn't nearly as spacious in the rear as you might think.
I sit far forward (short legs) and the room behind me is acceptable, but not fantastic IMO. The front passenger usually pushes their seat pretty far forward when we have adults in the back. Only you will know what will be acceptable so I'd strongly suggest getting in the driver's seat of one, set your position, then get in the back seat. The headroom with the glass roof does make a difference. I sat in the back of a sedan without the glass roof and my head was firmly on the roof. In the ST with the glass roof I have plenty of room. I sit tall, so again your mileage may vary.
If you're hauling 30+ bottles of wine there is plenty of trunk space in the ST, even with the privacy cover in place. However, 30+ *cases* and I might suggest an Escalade ESV (V Series of course) instead. Maybe with the back seats down you'll be ok. The angle of the rear hatch seems to eat into the space.
Color is so subjective. I've heard folks say black hides some of the styling that really makes a Taycan. Personally, I was actually debating between black and gentian blue until my wife put me in my place 🤣.

Thank you very much for your detailed post.
Extremely helpful. The CT does have a little more headroom although I do prefer the lines of the ST.
Now if I can get the glass roof and the CT it sounds like it might be a tad better.
Interesting choice of the carmine red.
I need to think about that.

Thank you

I don't think the car is large enough for your purpose. S Class cars are long wheel base sedans, and it sounds like your clients typically gets driven around then they will not love the compact nature of the Taycan. I would hate to ride in the rear of the Taycan for longer than 1 hour.

IMO, you should buy a full size SUV, Escalade, Tahoe, Expeditions, Lexus LX, GLS, Wagoneer etc.

If you must buy a Taycan, understand the ST and CT are both wagon bodies. The CT chassis is a few inches higher, but interior space is exactly the same.

An unanswered question is your budget, and some of the colors I’m suggesting below are pricy, so beware.

I agree with @Boss Hogg on all his points. Must haves include—
  • Glass Roof — Also add Thermally & Noise Insulated Glass option.
  • Active Ride - Much easier to get in and out of based on what I’ve seen (don’t have it myself). Plus (as @Boss Hogg says) it looks to be a great party trick.
  • Sexy Color- I know I’m rocking an Ice Grey in my photo, but I’m considering going a more distinctive color on my next Taycan.
    • For example - Oak Green Metallic Neo ($2,950 extra)
    • Porsche Taycan CT vs. ST and best color for entertaining overseas guests 1755923074926-gn

    • Or with Paint-To-Sample, Peridot Metallic ($13,620 extra)
    • Porsche Taycan CT vs. ST and best color for entertaining overseas guests 1755923254749-t

    • With Paint-To-Sample Plus you can also consider Cartagena Yellow (super pricy at $31,100 extra. I used AI to put the color on my Taycan in the mountains near here - too bad the AI deleted my glass roof and Mission-Es 😀)
    • Porsche Taycan CT vs. ST and best color for entertaining overseas guests 1755924651216-bk
But as I said, your budget is a huge consideration.

CT and ST have the same shape. Are you talking about CT vs sedan?

No. Imho, ct and st have similar shapes. The st is lower. The CT rides higher and has a slightly higher roofline with slightly increased headroom.
