I personally thought that the 4 was not fun enough after a weekend with the 4s. For sure, a quicker car than the regular 4 is not needed, so it is only a matter of your own preferences.
In Sweden, the 4s has the aur suspension as standard (maybe all CTs has? I drove only the sedan before ordering the CT), and the air suspension really adds a new level to the car. It is fantastic!

have them both driven the same day and compare them. ?

I just had a quick look comparing the all-the-time power, rather than the couple of seconds overboost power, and price in the UK of the 5 estate car models and using the CT4 as the base I get

CT4 : CT4S : GTS : Turbo : Turbo S

All-time power:-
1 : 1.28 : 1.35 : 1.64 : 1.64

Standard price
1 : 1.08 : 1.28 : 1.44 : 1.71

Meaning, for me, unless some of the included-as-standard options change the balance a lot for the individual the CT4S looks the best buy if one can afford it and the turbo not bad but the GTS and Turbo S only making sense for the included extras, or image.

This is pretty irrelevant though if the CT4 has enough power for the buyer already...
Ik Belgium the CT 4S is 20k euro more than the 4 this was not worth it for me. For a 8k difference like in the UK I would might gone for the 4S. I don’t understand the price difference

Yes the CT4S is only £ 6770 dearer than the CT4 here in the UK.
It will be the standard spec, I suppose, both have partial leather as standard in the UK whereas the dearer ones have full leather. I don't know about much else though.

I agree.

As others have said, it's all in what you value/want. Almost any car is "fast enough". Most of my friends/family/colleagues think its not worth paying six figures for any car.

The CT4S is 20% faster from 0-60 than the CT4 and it's about 20% more expensive. Seems about right.

It depends on the country you buy it in. Also I have zero interest in either 0-60 or instantaneous boost power.

Here in the UK the CT 4S is 8% more expensive than the CT 4 and has 28% more full time power. It was an easy choice for me :)

Yup, that's why I said it depends on what you value/want. It was an easy choice for me too.

Well if it had been 20% more expensive here like you quoted I may well have not gone 4S but at 8% it seemed worth it.

It's different in different markets for sure. I was speaking for my market.

It's like the debate on if it's worth it to get the Taycan vs the Etron GT. For some it is, for others it is not.

With a pound = 1.18 euro you are quite lucky in the UK. The turbo in the UK has the same price as the GTS in the EU.

Is this an accurate comparison though? I mean the price for CT4 vs CT4S in just additional power, but from CT4S to GTS ST, there are lots of options already added in addition to the power. We should probably add the cost of those options on to CT4S or subtract them from GTS ST base price to just do comparison based on cost vs power

At an 8% increase from CT4 to CT4S I would have taken the 4S too. However in Norway the difference was 20% at the time of purchase which I felt was not justified.

You are correct, except that the only truly fair comparison can only be done for a particular buyer. Spec out CT4 with the options the buyer wants, then spec out, CT4S, CT Turbo, CT Turbo S with the same options. I suspect there will be options in the higher trims which people would not pay for if they had a choice. Only then you know how much you are paying just for the power increase between the models. The difference between the different buyer comparisons will come from location and options they want.

That's a huge variation between our markets, I wouldn't be happy with a 20% step up for the S. I wonder whether our CT4S have different standard equipment?

I highlight what I wrote here

"unless some of the included-as-standard options change the balance a lot for the individual"

I thought I had made it clear what my comparison was about but sorry if it wasn't clear enough.

FWIW pretty well all the options I want cost more on every model from CT4 to CT Turbo S.

Comparing UK standard spec's, there are only these differences (ignoring than power-related & badging):

CT4CT4S
Side window trims in blackSide window trims in silver
Brake calipers in blackBrake calipers in red
19" Taycan Aero wheels19" Taycan S Aero wheels
LED headlightsLED headlights including PDLS Plus
Door Sill Guards in blackDoor Sill Guards in brushed aluminium

The most costly one to option on the CT4 is the PDLS lights at £816.
On the other hand, CT4S buyers such as myself, who want black window trims, have to pay an extra £245.
