We all like to moan about service at the slightest provocation, self included (or perhaps especially )...so thought a thread giving dealers a thumbs up might be a "good thing".

I've had a couple recently (ish).

Porsche Centre Sheffield - took my kids "home" to watch our football team. My parents were away, so rather than stay in an empty house or hotel we went there and back in a day....used the Porsche Centre to get the car back up to 100% charge for the trip back. Staff there were top notch - all of us welcomed in, offered hot chocolates, let the boys eat their lunch in the coffee area etc. Chargers were also fully functional and very quick.

Porsche Centre Colchester - my "local". Noticed a small crack in my glass roof a few weeks ago. Called them, they told me to pop down for a look. 15min inspection and warranty claim processed/car booked in/loan car organised (Panamera. Possible demerit there ). Job was completed today and looks pristine once more. They also organised covering a couple of other campaigns (antenna connections and the PCM update) and did the brake bleed procedure for long travel brakes (haven't driven far enough yet to see if that's done what was suggested, and have a couple of queries on the purpose of the others).

Staff again very welcoming (didn't buy my car through them) and organised, communicated well and the car was spotless when collected (it was filthy when I dropped it in!). They were very busy today, so a few open queries for advice I had will be handled via email (totally fair enough).

Oh, they also helped me out 1wk into ownership. Eldest lad needed picking up from school in an emergency to go to the doctors and I had little charge available. They plugged me in and topped me up without me having my charge card etc.

I had my Cayman serviced at Colchester and they were fine. Come trade in though and they and the original dealer were awful (I believe this isn't unusual ). Offered me £34k, sold to an independent dealer for £51k.

I’ve had very similar with Colchester. I wouldn’t ever use them. The op got lucky if you ask me.

Sales and service are different departments AFAIK.

I also had couple of recent experiences.

Guildford terrible, I was struggling to find reasons to keep the car I bought from them, but end up returning it. Sales person was hiding things all the way through the process, lied about the logbook and few other things. Waited until the day of collection to tell me couple of issues were not done when I had to go with my entire family. In every oppurtunity the were cutting corners. The day off collection apart from the uncovering sheet there was nothing else. I had to go back and forth 10 times. I couldn't get accurate information whenever I was asking for something and I couldn't get hold on anyone from the technical department. Tried to escalate and speak in person with centre principal and sales manager but they were too busy.

Reading fantastic. Every question I asked no matter how difficult or stupid it was I was fully embraced with support. The car was spot on the day of collection, they went above and beyond and on the day of handover we were welcomed with some many little gestures for everyone in the family. Truly amazing experience from everyone, sales executive, sales manager, product specialist and technician.

In the end all was good as it turned out getting a match better car in an amazing deal surrounded by an team of professionals.

Yet I have a mate who swears by Guildford Porsche. Highly recommends them.
Reading were great today for my pick-up. Despite it being a lease car, I was able to collect from the dealer direct - I’m local to the dealership. I got the full handover experience and plenty of time having the car set up and explained to me.
Now the happy ‘owner’ of a gentian blue 4s+ st. No complaints at all.

Porsche West London - Terrible service. I’ve got an ongoing complaint so waiting for that to be final before i give more details on it…

Just plain incompetence from them really.

Not used Hatfield.

First service booked in and quoted £480 incl. VAT. Which I think is toward the lower end?

Never updated this, but have double cause to.

Service at Porsche Colchester went smoothly back in March.

They also just did my brake hose recall, which includes a software update, and also said they'd do the heater recall at the same time.

Loaner provided (CT4), excellent communication, job finished on time (early actually, but were fine with me not going in until the booked time).

Received a goodie bag and gift on collection (which was totally unexpected but a very nice touch).

Cannot fault them.

Car's first MOT done today. Free if you have the car serviced with them.

Brilliant comms throughout. Gave me a nice lunch while I waited.

Extended my warranty at the same time.

Can't recommend them enough. Fab service.
