Some cool features in Maritime Optima

The weather layers panel is neat - has animated wind and ocean current patterns and includes a color gradient map of calculated static wave heights - the weather pattern is possibly more up to date than I am currently seeing on MT also!

Noah current weather shows a headwind into Halifax as does Maritime Optima below (MT different but possibly a forecast prediction vs real time?)

Well I be - their free service actually gives you full sat service and basically the ETA and other data that Fleetmon/MT want you to pay for beyond their initial free trials - thx for sharing as I had assumed all along that this was just another site with the same options as Fleetmon/MT - cool!

Watch out. I think I read on pricing chart that the supplemental AIS stuff like ETA is only 20 free views. But the positioning info seems to be unlimited.

Just downloaded and created account for Martime Optima- thanks for the suggestion. They have an option to do a route plan, so I crosschecked the "Stena" Glovis schedule for Glovis Supreme moored in Emden overnight. They are also showing 29 days to get to Benicia, which hopefully also account for a day or so at each port to unload. I'm hoping like Hell it catches some breaks with the seas and gets in even a bit early. Arrives right around Christmas, and no open campaigns so as soon as it rolls off the ship scan it and "buy it" and snag that tax credit.
Porsche Club of America magazine Panorama also just mentioned tax credit expiring in 2021.

Porsche Club of America magazine Panorama also just mentioned tax credit expiring in 2021.

The Build Back Better bill, which passed US House, does repeal the current EV tax credit (Internal Revenue Code section 30D), and replaces it with a new tax credit, which caps MSRP. But if that replacement provision is not enacted by Congress, the current tax credit in section 30D remains in force, until it is repealed. If Congress does not repeal the current EV tax credit during 2021, then Taycan buyers who take possession of their cars in 2022 get to wonder if they will or will not get the credit until Congress acts, or 2022 ends. I'm hoping @ciaranob can get SFL Conductor to Baltimore in time so I won't have to worry about that.

Just to let you know I went ahead and got a 3 month plan with Maritime Optima as liked their setup a lot and basically its just ca $48 (ca. 1-2 bottles of wine depending on your poison ) - arguably only relevant for the 2 weeks+ left until Conductor gets to Houston but works for me - thx again for reminding me of the site

Any idea as to when TYD generally catches up to your current status as my info is still showing as arrived at Emden.

Nope. My car is on the Cape Town Highway (supposedly) which is in the middle of the Atlantic, but TYD still says it is in Emden.
