Just got an email from my dealer. He said the car at at the port (JAX) and is awaiting a software update. Should be delivered in "about a week."

On "port hold." The update has to come from Porsche and they "have several hundred cars to do."

My TYD status actually updated - shock and awe!

And only now have they updated the route sailed by the Conductor - but look at that, apparently I imagined that annoying detour to Halifax and Baltimore!

@tbinmd you should double check you do indeed have a CT in your driveway

It's not there, yet, still at the dealer, we are going to go and pick it up tomorrow. This week has been nuts with some customer projects.

Based on the posts, is it safe to assume the cars are en route to the dealers now or is the processing at the port longer than a day or two?

Most probably at least a day or two but 48 hr turn arounds have happened for some - more typically up to a week. The recent post above about 'hundreds' of cars in Jacksonville (and elsewhere?) needing a new SW update and thus being held longer at the port facilities is a bit worrying (only in the sense of delays) - trying to find out if my car effected but no news as yet.

Several of us with cars offloaded at Baltimore from SFL Conductor got TYD updates that port processing milestone had been completed on Dec 3. One person with dealership near port was informed his car is at dealership. My car, bound for dealer in Ohio, completed port processing but has not reached dealer.
Your dealer should be able to tell you more about status of car once it was unloaded. And, your dealer should be able to tell you if your car has any "open campaigns", meaning work that still needs to be completed.

Bit off topic, but: Assuming you like your Taycan after you pick it up and drive it, how long do you plan on keeping it? This is my first EV and first Porsche, so I don't know.

Once TYD informed you that your car reached Emden port, and what ship it was assigned to, TYD is no longer relevant. It sets dates weeks out, which then typically get beat. Having your TYD down is not really a problem now. Your dealer will have more useful info.

Bit off topic, but: Assuming you like your Taycan after you pick it up and drive it, how long do you plan on keeping it? This is my first EV and first Porsche, so I don't know.

This is also my first EV but will be my third Porsche. I'm planning to lease the Taycan. The EV technology will change a lot in the next 3 to 4 years so I didn't want to commit to ownership.

When a bunch of people sharing an open office are unhappy with the temperature of the space - too hot/too cold - facilities puts a thermostat in the office that lets occupants control the temperature. What the office occupants don't know is that the thermostat does not actually control the HVAC. It gives the illusion of control.
TYD is like that - it gives buyers the illusion of schedule info.
Great concept, but lacking in implementation.

Okay, that's good to know. Since I'm purchasing from a dealer out of state, they have been cordial but have not provided progress updates. I've asked several times and they "will let me know when the car gets here. It's scheduled to arrive 1/7, but will probably be here earlier." Initially, I placed an order at my local dealer where I have an existing relationship, but the ETA was April/May. I found this car "en route" through Porsche finder, which was built almost identical to my build sheet. I canceled my order and bought the car out of state. In short, I don't have any relationships at this dealership, so they haven't been very helpful.

Update. My car arrived at Baltimore on Dec. 2. Dealer contact checked system this afternoon. Says car cleared customs on Dec 4 and has been released for transport. He expects it soon. Said it has no open campaigns.
