Glad you’ve thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.

The two plastic tags you refer to sound like the tracker fobs for Porsche VTS.
Sure your car will be fine and great weather for picking new car up best feeling ever enjoy

Picked up my mamba green RWD earlier today, finally. I'll post some pictures when the weather improves

However, my wife have already kerbed one of the wheels
Mine also did both offside wheels yesterday...

I asked last week (that's what I initially had my eye on) and was told 2024 not 2023 as predicted. They're way down on where they need to be testing-wise so need to complete that first.

I had a call to say I have a build slot with fix date in April and delivery, all being well, in July.
That will be 12 months after ordering and paying deposit.
I don't get it...Plenty of Americans that placed deposits in December or January '22 getting deliveries in April, yet you're waiting 12 months and I will have been waiting the same (at this rate).

Brits don't complain enough about poor service, so that is what we get.

I was in 2 minds whether to cancel on the basis that Porsches are for people more tolerant and patient than I am, but I have zero need for a new car and the only one on sale today in the UK that appeals to me is a Taycan, so there we are.

I do have a concern about the approach of other UK road users though. In the past driving a Porsche I experienced others cutting me up particularly trucks whereas in my Ferrari it would be truckies rolling down the window and shouting "swap you mate!" as they let me in at a roundabout.

Probably a harkback to the "greed is good" Thatcher years and the Porsche being the yuppy trophy.

12 months for UK orders of Cross Turismo 4S was par for the course when I ordered mine in October (I since jumped at the opportunity to get a Turbo sooner). Many dealers had demand far outstripping their likely allocation, but some (smaller?) dealers had less demand so have been able to deliver sooner.
Maybe the fast turn around of those US deliveries is due to those factors?

Sadly true, and vandalism too. I'm still considering maximum debadging of my build, though my choice of colours will probably still attract unwanted attention (but I don't see the point of spending Porsche money to get a less interesting-looking car).

I won't use mine if I am going to have to park in a carpark.
I am keeping our Prius PHEV for that, at least I can usually still open the doors in a standard UK parking space in that, The Porsche probably not.

One of the problems owing a special car in the UK. My wife finds it funny that I spend money on cars just to "drive around in circles".
