We think missing parts etc so you may be ok if yours has been completed hope that's the case for you
Hmm
my car is pretty much loaded with options :( however the dealership hasn't mention any delay at the port.. PS: Mine also has the RWS option, plus another 20k of more options

Why would you want a car that's 1 year old model wise maybe its me but I would cancel for sure

It's a good question, points to consider: Reorder with be 2023 for sure, the model MY21 actually has better options than the the current MY22 due to limits on the configurator caused by supply issues. The model isn't a reface from MY21 to MY22 (I would defo cancel if this was the case), so, you could argue that with options the MY21 is better than the MY22. On paper the car is 'new' at registration, along with warranty etc...Lastly, I have the option of selling the car with the inflated second hand values...

For sure there are lots to consider hope you get the car soon

UK people waiting for their car, the Seine Highway is due to leave Emden today and arrive at Sheerness tomorrow:

https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/SEINE-HIGHWAY-IMO-9316311-MMSI-308654000

Hopefully some of our cars are on that

@IainSmith I see you're in Leeds so I assume you ordered through the Leeds dealership. I expect their cars go through Grimsby, I'll keep an eye out for any Emden to Grimsby ships
Thanks for the information. While the latest screenshot of Porsche’s CRM that I’ve seen shows my vehicle provisionally leaving Emden tomorrow, I expect it’s not on this vessel, since Grimsby is logged as the port of entry. I also sadly expect it won’t be going anywhere other than moving around Emden.

Well done Porsche on making what should be a truly enjoyable experience anything but.

Ah, right. The only other vehicles carrier I see at Emden at the moment is the Patara but that doesn't have a destination yet:

crossing my fingers for you!

Edit: Actually Ems Highway is due early tomorrow, that could be the one

Which docks would porsche ship to in UK
As far as i can tell it's just Sheerness and Grimsby, at least that's what it says in the My Porsche delivery section:

Porsche Taycan Delivery Delays 1643297502337

"Here you can see the typical transport route that your vehicle will take as it leaves the factory in Zuffenhausen. Your vehicle will be transported to Emden in Germany before being shipped across to either Grimsby or Sheerness, depending on the location of your Porsche Centre"

I know from the dealer that mine is coming into the U.K. at Grimsby. Would expect yours is too given we share the same dealer.

What's you view of PPF I was planning to have it but then starting think do I really need it as never had any of previous cars coated and a friend of mine had it applied then some time later power washed the car and it started to peel round one of the edges so he recommends having ceramic coating twice a year

With a degree of realism and common sense, plus experience of my previous Taycan, I would go ahead with PPF but only with what is called ‘extended front protection.’ That sees the front third of the car protected, plus those key areas known to be prone to stone chips, including around the windscreen. The Taycan is particularly susceptible at the front end to chip damage given how low the front end is. If you plan to keep the car forever or it’s an investment, by all means, protecting the entire bodywork makes financial sense. Otherwise, I think it’s unnecessary. As to the PPF itself, I’d only use Xpel and I’d only use Invisifilm to apply it. There’s a reason why Rolls Royce and Ferrari only send their NW vehicles there. That they get referred work from Xpel to correct films poorly applied by other providers adds weight to that perspective.

As for ceramic coating, I had my previous Taycan completely coated with Titan after PPF. My own view was this was a waste of money, costing as much as the PPF. If you know how to maintain your car properly or use someone who does, you don’t need it. I couldn’t tell the difference pre and post treatment. To add, there are now some domestically available ceramic coatings you can apply yourself. Their film thickness is less than those only available to accredited detailers. However, you can get similar ceramic film thickness protection over a relatively short time with multiple applications. Don’t forget even the professionally applied ceramic coatings require reapplication after a limited time. And to anyone who comments on the hydrophobicity benefits of ceramics, I had Titan all over a black Taycan previously and it still looked filthy the moment it rained.

Ultimately, it depends on personal preference. From experience, I’d recommend not skimping on PPF quality and application, ask for front extended PPF and save on the ceramic coating. That’s what I’ll be doing this time around whenever the new Taycan finally arrives.
