And where is Clyde pulling its data for both the numerators and denominators?The below is from Claude on 5 yr depreciation of Taycan peers. Any EV has much steeper depreciation than ICE equivalent. This is one of the key reasons to lease instead of buying EVs, along with rapid technology implementation change year-to-year.
I suspect that any AI inquiry is just scouring the internet for summaries of only marginally reliable sources. Even if a reliable database existed for the actual resale prices, where is the database for what the original owner actually paid, especially net of state and federal tax subsidies?
As for leasing, that's an advantage only if you think your projections for future Taycan resale prices are more accurate (and lower) than those from PFS.
