On a J1.2 Taycan (different comms architecture from the J.1) I am finding that destinations created on the MyPorsche app do not reach the car even under simplified and controlled conditions eg:
- the destination is a straightforward local address selected in the app (not shared from another application)
- the app reports that it has sent the destination to the vehicle
- the car is connected to the network as proven because I can turn on heating etc from the app
- Privacy Mode is not set
- no other destination was set during the subsequent journey.
... nothing arrives after waiting for a long time.

Additional observation, might be related or unrelated: On looking more closely at the online settings, I see that both "News" and "My Destinations" are set to "Inactive" with "The main user is not logged in". Clicking on it produces a message "Configuration as main user possible" which must have meant something to the software developer :) The OPC has checked on the servers and they do think I am set up as the main user. "Weather" had the same message until I used it once, and now says "active".

Any thoughts?

This has happened randomly several times to me too. Both with previous My 22 and my curret My25. Both 4S Cross Turismo.

it's a lottery in my experience (J1.1 and J1.2) so I don't bother using it

I’ve never managed to get this to work on my MY23 (J1.1) Taycan. However, it seems that marking a destination as a favourite in the My Porsche app (on iOS in my case) instantly and reliably sends it to the car’s favourite list where you can use it for route destinations, stop overs and what have you.
