Dimming HUD / Brightness Issues

I can't seem to sort out how to solve a daytime HUD brightness issue. I have the HUD brightness set at +10, I've toggled between Auto, Night & Day settings but still my HUD is never bright enough to actually use, except at night. Very very rarely the vehicle will start up with the HUD completely visible but it will very quickly dim itself and be almost invisible. At best I can see the MPH but nothing else clearly. This issue has gotten worse over the last month.

The photo below is a best case scenario with 5/6 fields active. I've played with every display > HUD setting I can find. Am I doing something wrong?

You may want to take it to the dealer. I had to get a new HUD under warranty not too long ago for a different issue. It was not able to stay in the same spot on the windshield

Are you wearing polarized sunglasses? Did you tint the windshield? If not, go back to the dealer like mentioned above.

I did think initially it was sunglasses as I do have a polarized pair but cancelled it out pretty quickly
No tint on the windshield.
Was hoping this was user error but I'll follow up with a dealer.
