Hi All,

I have bought a car cover for my TT for use until I get a new garage built.
The instructions say the car shouldn't have it's mirrors folded when the cover is used.
Apart from leaving unlocked is there a way to disable the folding mirror feature?

You should be able to disable them from folding in automatically.

The setting should be under:

- Vehicle settings
- Vehicle locking systems
- Fold door mirrors when locking

On a side note, be careful with using a car cover, especially if it gets windy outside. The issue is the flapping of the cover combined with dirt accumulation. It can create sanding action, causing rapid paint deterioration.

I learned that the hard way when I lived in the Middle East. I covered my car and went on a two week vacation. After some wind and sand, I returned to find polished metal on the corners of my car. At least it was a fairly cheap car, but I haven't used a cover since...

That's good advice. Hopefully this will only be a short term measure until I get planning permission to build a two bay locked garage for it....
