Dog harness suggestions

Hi Guys,

The fold down rear seats makes in Taycans makes for hood load carrying and it’s also been nice positioning for my cocker spaniel “Tito” to laze and view the countryside as it’s whizzes by.
However he’s not fond of the G forces on either of my Taycans.

He’s just a likely to slide backwards under acceleration as hit the windscreen under braking and I’d really like to strap him in a little more safely and securely.

There’s got to be a few of you that have shared my anguish and concern so an appeal:

“Anyone with experience of suitable harnesses that can link with the luggage tie rings?”

We just use a normal shoulder harness with an adaptor (for 3 different types of seatbelt sockets) that fits in to the seatbelt socket and has a clip at the other end of a short length of webbing. Many different types available for a tenner or less.
...but, not being prepared to tie her down with a cargo net, I drive a lot less enthusiastically when I have my VIP on board (and even I'm not fond of high G forces most of the time ?).

I use the medium size Henry Wag material create for my cocker spaniel, which I just put on the back seat (not folded down) with a webbing strap securing it to the seat belt and a blanket underneath to level it up a bit:

My dog doesn’t travel in the car that much, but he’s always keen to get in. A CT or ST would have been sensible - but I wasn’t going to let the dog dictate my choice!

Thanks for that advice. If Tito is free to roam when I’m out of the car he ends up in drivers seat after a few circles and scratches to get comfy ? (so there’s double requirement for a harness) - really like Henry Wag stuff … he has an elevated bed to make sleeping in rooms with floor heating more bearable! #spoiltrottenspaniel

Yes - after Taycan 4S and now Taycan Turbo I can sense a Taycan ST coming on ?

We got a hamac type car dog protector from amazon. We selected the one that includes protection on the side door. It is less than $100 and many alternatives. We have dog harness as well. They are attached though the seat belt. Again many options on Amazon. We carry a mountain bernese and a full size Bernedoodle on the back sest. No problem at all and they never get on the front seats.

I’m impressed - those are big dogs for a Taycan (and pretty much anything else I would think!). It would be fun to see a picture of them on-board ?
