Easee charger and 22kw upgrade fix!

I’ve had the Easee charging robot fitted at home and in accordance with Porsche’s advice have limited the charging current to 25A.

All worked as advertised, communicated with the car and was ready on time.

Very impressed with the whole instillation and the Easee charger app.

It will be 6kw.
The new advice is to throttle you're 7.4kw single phase charger (most UK supplies) to 6kw if you have the 22kw charger installed. If you use a 22kw charger elsewhere then you can charge at 22kw.

Very annoying all the same.

Oh ok, in Poland 3 phase is standard, so I will have 50A right now from my power supplier for whole house and 32A at my charger so I will try to get to 22kWh at home.

The issue is single phase charging with the three phase upgrade.

6KW achieved as above, for overnight charging at home the reduction is almost irrelevant when compared to bonus of getting 22kw for free (for now anyway) when using public chargers.

Porsche really should do better and replace the onboard uograde under warranty. For those with chargers that can’t vary the load you’re just slowly damaging the car on a 7kw charger. And Porsche are like ?‍
