I’m needing to renew now and have opted for the £0.00 option. Unless I’m missing something, it seems like a no brainer paying nothing for the convenience of charging via a single app and receiving a single invoice, and the prices appear slightly lower that just swiping a contactless card and paying retail.

There is two versions. A free one with higher rates and a paid one with lower rates.
in the Netherlands the free one has the same rates as other free charging cards. I never use anything else just out of convenience of having everything in one app.

Depends on your use case. If you use a lot of IONITY or other preferred partners the savings with the monthly-fee Plus card are significant - 39p/kWh vs 69p at preferred partners and OPCs. If you charge mostly at home then the monthly fee would be way too high.
Also the free card can have way higher blocking fees if you park overnight at a hotel or similar.
Use https://ask.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/charging-service-price-list and expand the paragraphs at the bottom to see the fine print.
Personally when mine comes up for renewal I will probably do what I do with streaming services: subscribe for a month when it need it (eg Summer road trips) then turn it off again.

I’ll miss the cheaper Ionity rates.

Yeh I’m thinking the same - I rarely charge away from home but will upgrade from free to paid on a month-by-month basis when doing trips
