It is a steep increase at the same time as Tesla Open for all prices have come down to between €0.35 to 0.39 per kWh ( with a subscription) depending on time of the day? Fair enough you do not get the peak charge rates as Ionity, but the number of chargers and their reliability at each site, makes it an attractive alternative.

Here in France it seems also that Lidl have installed a lot of chargers at their sites. They are run by Chargepoint and priced at €0.25 per kWh at 150 kW stations! Trying these chargers are next on my to do list this week then.

That's a steep enough increase (in euro) for IONITY from 33c/kWh to 50c/kWh. And they've rolled out this price increase across the VW charging brands.

I wonder how long Porsche Charging Service can hold IONITY price at 33c ?
Ionity rates have gone from 31p to 44p here on the Elli premium tier

It’s presently 30p for Ionity on PCS here - cant really imagine they will hold that for very much longer if they’ve moved all the other group charging brands to the higher rates.

Theres lots of grumbles from VW owners as their We Charge contracts have gone from 12 months to 3 months minimum term.

Elli have otherwise reduced the minimum term now to 1 month to match folks like Tesla.

I haven't looked at the Porsche Charging Service T&C's. Do you know – are they committed to keeping pricing the same within any individuals yearly contract ?

I’d need to dig in and have a proper look. I have a gut feeling they would - it would be consistent with all the other sister brands.

I'm waiting for my car to be delivered although the VIN is available. Does anyone know if you can sign-up for this service before I get the car or does it happen automatically? I'd rather have the card from day 1 if I can manage it. I've read the materials on the Porsche website and it doesn't help or provide any sign-up pages, that I can see anyway.

Maybe I'm being naive, but I would have thought Porsche would want to keep prices as low as possible rather than put people off buying Taycans and a whole number of other EVs they're launching in the next few years. Elli maybe is seen as a commercial proposition and a profit centre, whereas PCS is maybe something to facilitate car sales? Just an idea. IONITY prices remaned static over the biggest price crisis, after all.

I signed up and got my card before I took delivery. I did it via my Porsche account once my car was visible in my account. However, I've owned my Taycan since November last year, and I've not needed to use my card once. I've always used Plug&Charge, which has worked pretty much flawlessly.

Isn't it locked in for 3 years from car purchase?
You have to auto-renew it every 12 months (at zero charge) from your account.

I guess at this point they may alter the charge pricing. As said I haven’t looked at the details in the contract. Neither have I hit the 12 month mark.
