Anyone found the way to get the front plate on so the cops don’t bother you?
Do they bother in Nassau or Suffolk?
I know the city they live for this.

I refuse to drill holes in this beauty. I prefer to use the tow hitch but the sensor will be blocked.

I bought a really good solution, www.carbonio.com, which keeps the plate in the middle (I'm not a fan of the tow hitch location solution), and you remove and put it back on in 5 sec.

I'm very happy with the results, although I still don't have my front license plate (NJ DMV is so behind). Attached photos to show

You basically unscrew a little thing, which is attached to the very powerful sticker, that it's glued at that bottom part, so invisible when you don't have the license plate.

Once I have my plate, the plan will be to keep it off and if police stops me, I'll always use the excuse that I forgot to put it back on after detailing the car - and I'll keep it in the front storage.

That link takes you to the main page, and when I put in the Taycan, it doesn't show the mount you used. Can you please link to the exact one you bought? Thanks

I don't think it'll come out, if you use their solution, it's similar to what it's used to hold the logo and other OEM parts that are in the car using a sticker. That pre-solution was soo sticky, took me days to get it off my hands. I didn't apply the ceramic coat on that part, to avoid any coating that would prevent the 3M sticker to stick really well. I have driven in rain and left the car out in very hot days, and the pieces are there - although I still haven't used it.

I couldn't figure out either why it's not on their site anymore. Mine was an early buy, so maybe they were sold out? The product was called Porsche Taycan 2019-2022 No Drill Front License Plate Mount
Keep an eye on it, I'm sure they will have more soon. I was very pleased with the quality, easy to install and remove the plate, as well as how original it looks - not a big fan of the tow hitch placement.

I sent them an email from their "contact us" page. I will see if they respond.

I'm clueless about US regulations, but in Euro spec cars the numberplate holder is part of the "bumper". Why isn't it the same in the US spec cars? I'd be annoyed if I had to "figure out" a way to stick on my number plates onto my new car!

Several states in the US don't require license plate in the front, so the US versions don't come with the support. The dealer installs for you but we always ask to not drill in nice cars, while we figure out ways to avoid holes in our front bumper.

To be completely clear, many people simply allow their dealer to mount the license plate to the bumper in exactly the manner that it is done in Europe. The people discussing this simply want to find a way to (1) avoid drilling into the bumper and/or (2) avoid having a license plate disturbing the aesthetics of the front end.

Wow, I’m shocked they would do that in Long Island where half of the luxury cars don’t have front plates
