Oops, exceeded the specified max speed today.
Got a nice long straight piece of autobahn in good visibility, low traffic, good weather. So pushed a bit. My J1.2 Turbo Sport Turismo just got faster and faster, with no sense that it was running out of power or control. I stopped at 265 km/h because I thought that was fast enough. Felt it could go further but didn‘t try.
Turns out the top speed is specified as 260.
An incredible car on the autobahn. Seems quite happy cruising at 170-200 and beyond, with push-to-pass still providing a nice extra push if needed. Used the full 650kW power a few times.
Pleased to see my whole journey, at 5 degrees C, still managed 1.7 miles per kWh
I think after that I will *almost* forgive it giving us two panics so far on this road trip: a “charging port impeded” error with door stuck half-way for no reason, just as we were about to board LeShuttle; and a yellow electrical fault warning when setting off one evening. Cleared after it had a short sleep in each case. Now if only Porsche could make a EV with this quality of driving experience AND reliable software and hardware! Don’t want any more of those panics until we get home please.
