I’m thinking to get the FitcamX front and rear cameras. Most posts seems to be about the front camera, but does anyone have experience of fitting the rear camera and especially routing the cable from front to back?

I have a 2025 GTS with Race-Tex roof lining and panoramic roof

Thanks!

An option (less attractive to me) would be to use the 12v plug in the trunk so you don't have to run any wires up front.

It's fairly easy to run the wires on the sides of the headliner to get the wire to the rear window. Just pull the black door gaskets down (they go in and out really easy).

I went with a FitCamX for the front on my 2024 GTS ST but didn't fancy the idea of having to run the cable to the rear FitCamX camera.

So I ended up not using the rear FitCamX and instead I have a Road Angel Halo Drive 2 in the rear, hooked up to the 12v accessory socket in the rear boot/trunk area.

Thanks for the helpful feedback everyone - I’ll also go ahead with the rear dashcam connecting to the socket in the boot/trunk as that sounds simpler

You'll need a different cam for that, I think. It needs to be independent of the front since it's not connected, so at least it needs an SD Card for the recording and ideally wifi access.
