Hi folks, despite me being against it and declaring the CT for Life… just after 2 years in I decided to move to the MY 25. And moved from raised estate with cladding to the classic 4 door design.
Just collected yesterday.
Battery was charged at 100% and only showing 200 miles…( I know… I’ll give it time to adjust :) )
From CT 4S to 4S with big battery.
First impression: Porsche has definitely tweaked the power delivery and break response.
The car feels lighter ( not sure the real difference between the CT and saloon).
The CT was softer with the 20” alloys and the new feels more nimble with the 21” and has got that pleasant feel o when running a car on coilovers and adaptive damping. Very comfortable exceeding my expectations.
2 noticeable things coming from my old CT:
Upgraded leather was the correct choice, leather was softer and looking better than the standard leather interior… and the extended leather pack made the interior look and feel more natural.
The act had the rear steering axle option as well which I don’t know yet if it’s a miss.
Boot of course now is a lot smaller but now we do not need anymore space for 2 buggy…kids are growing :). And we use the Defender when going on holiday.
The estate Taycan is a cool looking thing though.

Love the rims and car color! I am currently in a CT, and wondering if I should consider a sedan Taycan when my renewal comes. Is the trunk and backseat space that different between both types?

Over the last two years, nobody apart from the little kids has really sat in the back seats. Rear space hasn’t been an issue for us, and it handles the bulky swivel seat without problems. Access, however, is a bit trickier due to the sloping roofline. If you plan on seating adults in the back, I’d suggest testing it first.

The boot is less practical and not as easy to access. In the CT, we never used the space above the rear parcel shelf—everything always fit below it, even with two children’s buggies. Just for testing, I tried fitting both buggies into the boot, and they went in without trouble.

Compared to the saloon, the CT feels more cushioned and less connected to the driver and the road. The 4S saloon, on the other hand, is clearly more road-focused, and you notice it immediately.

Our experience with the CT was excellent, aside from the unresolved braking issue. Porsche has definitely upgraded the system since then—braking is now a pleasure, and the pedal feels exactly as it should.

Hopefully we will get more range as well :)

The main reason, that i decided to upgrade to MY25 is larger battery and lower consumption.
I’ driving a loaner, my25, and i can see about 20% lower consumption on the same routes as before.
Where i usually spent 25kwh/100km before, i need 21Kwh/km (on a route 260km, about 200km is on a highway, where i drive 150-170km/h 😇)… on alocal drives, i was about 20kwh, now 16-17 etc…
