I just received a notification which took me to this screen. Telling me I need a general inspection in a month. I’ve no idea what that is, as the service not due for 15k miles etc.

Anyone know what a ‘general inspection’ is please ?

Just got the same notice. Anyone out there have info on this?

Whoops! Answered my own question:

Go to "Smart Service" in your car's PCM (or "Predictive Maintenance"), click on the "Inspection" tab, click on "General Service" and then set the expiration date. I just pushed mine out a year.

A general service is a promise to Porsche Dealerships that they will make money on EV service.

Thanks for posting this. I'm a new member, but I have been reading the forums for years. They've helped me research and find the right car for me.

I bought a '23 CPO GTS in June '24 with 1,300 miles. It now has close to 4K miles and I received the same message - General inspection due in 29 days. This is not my first EV, so I was surprised by the notice.

With the number of outstanding Taycan recalls, I'm assuming these "general service" reminders (checking filters, brake fluid) will be done while the car is in for recall work. Is that a reasonable assumption?

For my driving pattern, the standard 2yrs/20K mile seems like the right interval, no?
