Hi all, well after 2 test drives it is clear as day that my new car will be taycan. Used one unfortunatelly but still.
At this point I am not sure About one thing. The taycans with head up and 360 camera are so much more expensive then without i am considering if these 2 things really worth the money. Generaly yes - love hesd up and 360 camera. Always wanted them in my car,bur tried 360 during test drive and was disapointed by fish eye. Cannot consider head up.
So question is:
For those who have these - is it must have for you?
Any part of gadgets which is must have for you (sxcept these) and are not much common? For example seats, heat pump etc? Happy to hear recommendations

We are happy to help you with your search. One thing that would help is for you to build a new one and share a code so we can see what your preferences are, then what options you need in the order of priority and then budget.

[US Specific] A lot of really nice examples come up for sale on the forum, then you need to search using Porsche finder as a starting point to see what is out there. For example, my dealer told me some dealers have 50+ brand news ones in stock and motivated to move them, and the used market is very robust as well, so depending on your preferences and budget and you can find what you are looking for.

My feedback to your questions:

1. I have 360 and yes fisheye is a known draw back, I do not think it is necessary.
2. HUD is nice but not required as the info is redundant. The new Macan EV has augmented reality, that is a difference story.
3. Heat pump is standard
4. Must haves would be Full Leather and Rear Wheel Steer for me.

Thank you for your feedback. Well I am from mid europe, so I am looking on DE market at this moment. Fact is,Just by brief check that I can get 2 years newer car without head up and 360 for same price, that probably worth the consider

I don’t have the 360 cameras and don’t miss them. The standard backup camera despite distorsion is useful enough. The sensors are pretty accurate and do most of the stuff. The 360 view wouldn’t save my ass when I curbed one wheel at low speed…
I have the HID and love it.
But the equipment I like the most is the rear wheel steering and the matrix led headlights.
I took the plunge for a pristine 2yo 4S with 60k€ options but the 360 cameras and couldn’t be happier.
If you fall in love with a good config but the 360 or HUD : Don’t hesitate

The heat pump is not standard in Europe. It’s quite expensive. But worth it in colder climates.

I have the hud and like it. Had a loaner without and missed it. It is good for speed signs and adaptive cruise controle and speed limits. But would probably get used to it if I didn’t have it anymore. Everything is shown on the dashboard and that’s quite close.

I agree with the poor view of the basic 360 camera versus others I've seen, although it does include extra camera views such as along the sides that I do find useful.

So if heat pump is not included, how are air conditioning and heating handled in car without it?

With the AC system and HV heater. The heat pump is an addition to the system. It can increase range in cold weather.

Does the hud have any other features then just speed and marks? Maybe navi showing or something like that?

Actially it has I guess the model I tested has cameras to show wheels and so on. The only issue was the fish eye on the back csmera.

Aside from options which are personal pref really, you will love the Taycan, I am sure.

I only wonder what would happen if you try to sell it in 3-4-5 years. Would there be people buying these at all? I mean who would buy a luxury ev with premium support price tag and no warranty. And I don’t mean price but if they will be sell-able at all. New EVs will be optimized, ICE has a traditional market and feels like the Taycan maybe left in a limbo. And not sure you can keep it forever, upgrade batteries in 8 years and so on.

Well that is the question related to any luxury ev, MB, Audi, but maybe also lucid etc. The fact is this is question what i am asking myself all day. I normaly keep cars max 5 years, if I will be able to sell it for half a price o bought it. Will be happy. Check the other porsche - still quite keep value compared to others
