Until my order is finally locked down, I’m forever on the Configurator playing with different specifications.

I’m now reviewing the GTS interior package and deciding whether this is really adding £3,287 worth of value for me:

Unless I’m mistaken, the standard GTS interior is Race-tex microfibre in black, and still has the GTS logo on the headrests plus the additional leather on the upper dashboard, side of the centre console , armrests, door panels etc. So I’d be missing out on courted stitching & coloured belts plus the carbon trim (including carbon wheel with GTS logo).

I’m highly likely to chose Gentian blue, so if I went with the standard black GTS interior, I’d pay the extra £581 for black wheels to complete the ‘stealth’ look.

Aside from the fact that the interior would be very dark (albeit I’d have the panoramic roof), is there anything else I’ve missed with this option? If dark blue stitching and blue belts were an option on the GTS package, I’d be tempted to go down this route, however the only blue belts are ‘graphite blue’ so this would not match.

im wondering if Speed blue stitching, but with black belts will brighten up the interior enough, and tie the interior and exterior together.
Any thoughts?

If I were ordering a track car, I would understand carbon fibre, both its practicality and its look.

However, on a 2200KG car, it is just for looks and unless I'm getting some practical utility - as you would on anything using carbon fibre that is designed to save weight without reducing rigidity - then I'm not interested.

Well, other than the steering wheel, which I am speccing in carbon fibre as it looks cool and has more of a sporty appearance. I have some inconsistencies at times... ?

The sills and other trim seems pointless and that is why I've never been keen on the GTS exclusive Race-Tex packages, especially for the cost.

Your interior spec sounds really nice and standard Race-Tex is visually pleasing, even though I'm going leather.

Sprint blue stitching with Gentian Blue exterior will look stunning and nicely coordinated. Blue seat belts would just look odd where you have charcoal model designation in the head rests. Keep them black or there will be too many clashing colours.

Also having sat in two GTS both with standard Race-Tex package, it is not that dark and nor is it a deep black. It's more of a sueded charcoal colour. I would much prefer that over the standard black leather interior, which really is too dark and monotonous.

Thanks for your comments.
I do like the look of carbon trim (I optioned it on my GT3), but have no delusions that it is for anything but appearance, rather than weight saving. If not carbon, then I think the base trim is black brushed aluminium, which is fine.

According to the Configurator, selecting Sprint blue stitching will also have the GTS logo in the same blue colour on the headrests.

Ah of course, well that will look epic, so go for it!

Brushed alu looks great and I am optioning that for the door sills (in black).

Is that not standard for the GTS?

Just realised the coloured stitching option includes ‘Free choice of colour from all available standard and special colours’.

I’m aware of Speed blue (not Sprint blue as I mistakenly referred to earlier), Shark blue and Graphite blue - Any other known blue stitching choices?!

Will give it a go.... Can't imagine will come in cheaper than the crayon/red options though...

I feel the upgrade to the standard GTS interior is a waste of money. The standard has all the Race Tex and badging and logos etc but in black. Actually RaceTex is distinctly grey as opposed to black so with a pano roof it will be far from dark and drab. Also the RaceTex does show a good contrast with the black leather dash top etc...
Over 3k for deviated stitching is to my mind a folly.
I'm in an all black interior now and it is rocking. Also you'll barely ever see any of it as you'll be eyes down the road the whole time ?

Definitely won’t be cheaper if you want Red or Silver (and it won’t include the carbon trim), but if you want a different colour option to better match the car’s exterior, it is probably worth considering.

I don't think it works out that much cheaper looking at it, and I like the carbon bits inside, plus can contend with crayon.

It's a real shame they don't let you choose the stitching colour with the GTS interior package.

I like carbon, but I’m happy to go without if I can get a better interior stitching colour to coordinate with the exterior. If you are going for Crayon exterior, then both Red or Silver will be fine.
