For current GTS owners:

My GTS is on the way to US west coast, not here yet.

I am considering ordering the Suncoast screen protector set. This kit has 2 separate pieces for the PCM and passenger screen:
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/spftay.html

However I have read that the car might actually come with a "long dash" with 1 screen section instead of 2 separate sections for the passenger side. Is this accurate?

I am comparing to this protector:
https://screenprotech.com/collectio...can-screen-protech-kit?variant=36025639469209

Just not sure whether the Dual Screen or Long Dash is the right one for the GTS with the passenger screen option.

Can our GTS friends weigh in?

How rough do you expect to be on your screens? I get phones get abused by some people, but there is now way for you to drop the car displays to scratch and break or scratch them in the process. If you get into an accident which might damage the displays, I suspect you'll have much bigger problems to worry about. Another way to put it, have you ever heard of any Taycan display damaged by regular use? What could possibly damage your instrument cluster screen, which would be mitigated by a screen protector? An icy stare from our significant other driving the car perhaps? ;)

The model variant where the passenger screen is installed is irrelevant - it is the same across all.

Suggest checking at a dealership but broaden your question to any Taycan with a passenger screen. I have a GTS ST and didn't see the need for the passenger screen (no use case for it). I understand it is physically joined to the main PCM screen (there is a seam) and not 2 physically separate ones.

We have the passenger screen in our GTS as, personally, I think it completes the "look".
Other than aesthetics, it's not that useful. And you are correct, there is a seam between the PCM and the passenger screen.
The only reason to both with a screen protector would be if it was anti-fingerprint, as without the screens are fingerprint magnets!

Are the screens made from Gorilla glass or something similar (haven't got my car yet)?

Thanks @mutanthands

Aside from the seam between the PCM and the passenger screen, is there a seam between the passenger screen and the far right vent bezel? Or is it one smooth surface?

I am terribly sorry to post here as a non-GTS owner, but I had Pixsel SPF installed on my screens. Even if you don’t abuse the screen it’ll collect dents and scratches over time because dust particles still exist and you’ll be wiping it occasionally as well which will scratch it eventually. If you don’t care then don’t install it, but it was about 125$ for me so I thought why not.

Do you have any pictures/videos of a screen damaged by dust llike this? Tesla used non-auto rated screens in my 8 year old Model S, simple alcohol wiles made the screen look like new.

There will be a seam - the vent is not an integral part of the screen for obvious reasons.

Tesla screen isn’t like the Taycan’s, it’s a bit below the dash level, not flush with it, if you know what I mean. That way it’s way harder to see any scratches even under direct sunlight. But no, I don’t have any pictures, and as I said - the benefit is questionable, but peace of mind is guaranteed :)

If you have a passenger screen then there will be a seam. With no passenger screen then it's just a piece of black plastic.

Screen protectors not really required as the passenger screen gets minimal use - at least for me.
