How do we know the rear spoiler really works? Faith?

I had the same issue with my 911. Unless I asked someone to follow me on the freeway, I'd have no proof the thing really activated at speed. And nobody was willing to follow me anyway.

My understanding is the spoiler on the Taycan is supposed to rise at a certain speed. I was told by the SA the threshold was around 75-80mph.

Again, I'm taking at faith that it works and is not just a gimmick. On the other hand, it's not like I am expecting it to be more fuel efficient.

So another question would be, why?

Spoiler deployed will not reduce your fuel efficiency. It provides downforce for the rear wheels. Not sure why it's there on a Taycan in the first place, since the car is pretty heavy already.

If you want to see it work, setup a camera perhaps.

I was curious so I place my gopro. Up on all modes and icon on dash will only appear on range mode.
